Works perfectly. ***Written by Tyler’s wifeI was concerned buying this plug at the price point as well as a brand that I wasn’t familiar with. However, it was super simple to set up and link into my Google home setup. I recommend it. I used it on a curio cabinet that I wanted the light to come on every evening but then go off whenever we go to bed and it’s been great.
So needed for my trip away from home. This was a last minute purchase as we found ourselves with no pet sitter for your vacation. I am already familiar with the geeni bulbs so I checked out the outlets- they are GREAT! They are easy to set up and connect with the app. My only problem is I had one connected to a surge protector and that one won’t work like the others- maybe it needs direct to the wall access but other than that I love these!
Great Value. I’m one of the least Tech-Oriented People out there. These were easy to hook up and are a dependable way to improve your home’s connectivity ! !
Makes life easier. I love these. I have one for my sound machine, scheduled to turn on from 11:30pm to 8am. The other is for my bedroom lamp that has one of those ridged knobs that hurts your fingers to turn. Now I can just tap a button and spare my fingers!While it is annoying that everything has its own app these days, their app is pretty sleek and easy to use. The schedule feature makes it worth it for me. Don’t let the fact you have to get their app hold you back from an awesome product. I’ll never forget to turn on my sound machine, then have to get out of bed after getting cozy again!I will say that there have been times I couldn’t fit another plug above/below this one, but it’s only because the other plug was ridiculously clunky. In the picture, the plug under the Geeni one is an extension cord, so normal things fit just fine.

Easy to install. Works great. I have had trouble installing other smart devices, but there were no problems with this device. It was easy to install and it works great. I have an iPhone 14 and there were no issues finding the app in the App Store and no problems installing the app. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for smart plugs.
Works well – doesn’t fit well with other plugs. The wifi outlet works fine, long as you don’t need to add it to siri shortcuts – something it should do.However my biggest issue is the size. It seems like whomever designed it made it slightly too large. You can’t use this AND another large plug in a single (dual) outlet. You can’t put 2 of these on a wall plug. It seems like such a poor idea, when the previous generation this was possible (the rectangular ones)

Great. These are user friendly and so easy to set up! They have a fantastic app that allows you to turn your lights on or off from anywhere and even has an option to set up or adjust a schedule for each plug.These are a great buy and even better than a much more expensive set we initially had.
The Best Smart Plug. Fantastic describes this plug best. It practically sets itself up! Great quality. Easy to set up schedule for turning on and off times. Compatible with Alexa and simple to connect. Tried a couple of others and returned for the difficulty in setting up such as 18 steps to set up a schedule. Genni made me feel like a genus because of the ease in setting it up.
Works well…for a year. We bought this for our espresso machine so that we could have it turn on while we are sleeping. It’s been great, until it wasn’t. Lasted about 1 year and 4 months for us. For the price that’s not terrible, just hate to throw it away to buy another.
Does what it is supposed to do. So I actually have 3 of these gems running fans in the house. I have them set up as a cluster in the app so that when an event triggers then it turns all the fans on at the same time.For example, when the temperature outside hits 75°F it triggers the fans to turn on automatically and when the temp drops below 68°F and it is 11:30PM it will shut them off.The app could use some improvement as the timer function is kind of weird when you use it for more than one device.There are some issues where deciphering the state that is implied with the timers.Using location services is only good for where the devices are located. It will not update the location of where your at so you can’t automate turning devices on/off based on your location (in my experience).The devices them selves are easy to use, however IoT devices do have some security issues that are being addressed but you should be aware that they are not a big deal.Overall, they are a good value, the fact that I can remotely turn devices on and off makes it worth the cost.I am definitely looking into getting more down the road!
Easy to use. I was given my first geeni plug set as a gift. Was a little hesitant to use them but the app and plugs are super easy to use. I ordered this second set cause I love them so much. They are compatible with Alexa and the app works great to turn on lights for pets when I’m away or a coffee maker that doesn’t have a timer. I love it for my holiday lights. Just set a schedule and forget about them.

Geeni smart dot. In my opinion the geeni Smart Dot is very reliable and dependable. It is easy to program for an off/ time schedule.Very pleased with this product and highly recommend it and the seller for the prompt delivery.
Easy set up via Geeni app, then Alexa. Great product, used for several years for holiday light automation. Set up via Geeni App couldn’t be easier. Connects instantly, schedules easy to create and very easy to set up and control via Alexa App. Ordered more this year to use and give as gifts. Highly recommend.
Solid Smart Wifi Outlets. These Geeni smart dots are great. They work seamlessly, unlike other smart wifi plugs I have tried. I will only purchase these from now on because they are easy to set up, easy to use, and don’t lose connectivity.
WORKS GREAT. I love these. Very easy to program and use. My only complaint is that you can’t fit two next to each other in the same plug area. If they were rectangular, it would be better. But this is the brand I started with, so I’m sticking with it.

Love these smart plug in’s. Love these i have had a Geeni wifi cam for years and have saved me many times when deliveries weren’t delivered and to see who comes up to my home.so when i saw the Geenie smart plug in ,i already knew where i was gonna use it to turn my lights on and off. Its easy to use and i think they’re great. my lamp comes on and goes off at certain times whether Im here or not making it appear Im home.
products & customer service. The media could not be loaded. I’ve purchased 22 Geeni WiFi plug-in outlets of various models inclusive of single, double, 4-switch, several 6-switch outlet strips, and 2 outdoor models as well. They work very well and reset when power goes down. That being said, the only issue I’ve had is due to Spectrum internet constantly dropping which gave two of my Geeni units problems with missed on/off times. Since I’ve switched to Alta fiber 1Gb service with 4 Amazon Eeros mesh 6e units. The combination of eeros with fiber allows for a seamless operation with zero problems. The better your network, the stronger consistent symmetrical up/down use with no throttling back. I highly recommend the Geeni & Eeros products. I’ve not been paid for this review, this is on my own perceptions of everyday use. Alta Fiber also uses Eeros routers for their customer based service installs.UPDATE: October 25, 2025The first failure of one of my Geenie single round WiFi outlets has occurred with device resetting failure. After sending Merkury Innovations all of the information they have asked for, I am still waiting for their warranty department to send me a replacement as they stated they would. Customer service and replacement is slow to respond as it has been 2 weeks since initial information has been given. They make you go through informational hoops with model number, photos, a video of the issue, and more. UPDATE 11/8/25: Received a two-pack replacement, so all is fine. Wished they would have been more transparent with replacement-shipping info or an email would have been nice. They had my phone number as well, but again, no updates.
Smart Home Plugs Done Easy. Geeni smart plugs are a great smart plug if you’re in the market to make your home smart. I own several of these and they work flawlessly. Also they work with Alexa and Google Home. I love you set a schedule for the plugs to cut on and off. Build quality is solid and I would and have recommended these.
Great function except just slightly too big. Very straight forward. Simple setup, especially if you already have the app and login created. Only downside is I can’t seem to fit two on a single outlet.
Great device. These are super easy to install on the App. Comes in handy for turning on lights when I am away from home so my dogs don’t have to be in the dark.
