The new look Velocity remains a reliable performer. I have been using BIC’s 0.9mm Velocity mechanical pencil for several years, both for work and at home, and have found them to be reliable and durable. The pencil feels good in my hand, and is comfortable to write with. Clearly a consumer grade product, the prices I have paid have been quite reasonable.The older version of the Velocity I have been using has since been replaced with this newer model, which features a clear plastic housing, and a stiffer plastic clip. Cosmetically, the new Velocity may be more attractive looking, but the feel is about the same, and it still operates and writes very reliably.A nice plus is that the eraser has been improved. It appears to be made of a different material which does a better job of erasing. Three leads are typically provided with each pencil, but the tube inside can easily hold twice that number. If you plan on doing a good deal of writing, getting some spare leads would be recommended.The Velocity is available in various colors when purchased in a set of four, but unfortunately for the box of 12 pencils, the choice of color remains limited to just blue.A very solid value buy, I highly recommend the Velocity mechanical pencils. I prefer the 0.9mm size, but this pencil is also available in 0.5mm and 0.7mm. Build quality is good, and should be sufficient for most casual users. And the cost is low enough so you won’t have to be too concerned, if you or your child happens to lose one.

So I bought some of them about a year ago and they were all different colors(green, pink, aqua, purple) and I ordered them again because I really liked them and some how they all got lost, and my daughter opened it up and she was kinda upset because all of them were aqua and since last year they were different colors she assumed it would be the same this time, plus in the photos they were green, pink, aqua and purple, and it didn’t say it would be all aqua.That is very frustrating for me but I can’t deny that they are wonderful pencils, we still have a few from last year and they are still really good, they are also very comfortable.Thank you for listening to me ramble about pencils.

My favorite pencil in my favorite color. Just what i needed! These have been my favorite pencils for a long time, and finding this listing on Amazon was fantastic because this is also my favorite color they come in! Will likely buy again in the future – they last long and work great so it might be a while before i need to restock, actually 😅 i suppose that’s a good “problem” to have!

Exceeded my expectations. A friend gave me one of these pencils to try and I was surprised to see the difference between .07 and .09 lead. Lead seldom breaks in these and it’s a comfortable fit for my small hands. I ordered lead to refill.
Best Pencils Ever. I love these pencils! I do a lot of mathematics by hand and I am heavy handed when I write. These do not break! They write clean and feel good to grip. Will definitely be ordering more.

Best Lead Pencil for hard writters. This has become my favorite lead pencil I’ve ever used. I write very hard when I’m writing, and the pressure of the weight always pops the leas in other pencils. I can honestly say I’ve never had this problem with this pencil. The lead is super strong, the pencil writes so smoothly, and it’s very comfortable to grip in your had while writing. Wish I would’ve discovered these sooner! BEST LEAD PENCIL EVER!!

Perfect if you’re heavy-handed. I love these pencils, they last, they don’t break, the erasers work great, and they come in a plentiful box. Each pencil has a few leads, it’s definitely a deal.
