The Christmas Box. Backstory: A family member from out of state sent a box containing Christmas gifts for my kids…it sat under our tree for a week. As tradition, my kids pick one gift to open on Christmas eve…they chose “the box.” There were several items for each of my kids in this box…as they began pulling the items out, my son said, “oh look…a beetle!”My husband told him to step on it but my son (who doesn’t like to kill little creatures) refused to squash it. My daughter then picked up a cute little purse in the box and unzipped it to look inside…she quickly threw it down and said “there’s a spider inside!” I picked up the gifted purse and ran outside to the porch to shake it out and a little beetle like bug fell out. I had never seen a beetle like that and didn’t really think much of it honestly. There was also an Anna and Elsa blanket for my daughter and I removed the tags and threw it into the wash just because my daughter is freaked out about any bugs.Fast forward a month: In late January early February I started waking up with little bites on my arms. Occasionally, I would have bites on my shoulders and my lower back. I kept telling my hubby and he dismissed it saying it was probably mosquito bites. We live in Texas and mosquitos are rampant but this was in February. I began looking through the sheets every night and then in the mornings never finding anything. As I continued to wake up with bites I started Googling “bites”…I came across bedbug references and shuttered at the thought of it. The pattern of bites however, were distinctive to bedbugs…small, red, itchy…groups of 3. My husband then began helping me look…we flipped the mattress and looked through seams…box springs, sheets, blanket and pillows…still nothing. I did find a couple of carpet beetles in my windowsill and googled it and read that these are often confused as bedbugs. Whew! What a relief! But…I read that carpet beetles do not bite!?Late February: We learned the our family member who sent the Christmas box had fallen and broken her hip which landed her in the hospital on the surgery schedule. It was at this time that we were informed that she was in stable condition but noted that she was “covered with bedbug bites.”LIGHTBULB!: Bam! It all began to make sense! We continued to search…nothing found. Early March, hubby gets a bite…grabs his shoulder and pinches a beetle off. Google search….bettle ID’d…BEDBUG! We then completely pull off covers, mattress..flip the the box spring…another beetle! We are both creeped out and scratching all over and kill the beetle. We proceed to chunk the mattress and box spring to the curb. We then examine the the bedframe….the wooden slat down the center of frame had little opaque things in each of the screw holes…Google search…bedbug casings and eggs!!!Ending to Long Story: We purchased Bed Bug Patrol. Did it work? Well, we have a big house and it appears that the bedbugs were only downstairs…mattress and box springs chunked…linens washed and dried on hottest cycle. In addition, we disassembled the bed frame, ripped out the bedroom carpet, pulled every article of clothing out of closets and dresser and laundered on hottest cycle. Threw all the pillows away. Bought a steamer a steamed baseboards, dresser drawers and chaise. Vacuumed the entire house multiple times daily. Inspected all the beds upstairs routinely. We did this in order to avoid expensive chemical pesticides from a professional. Last week my son had little bites on his ankles…I tore his bedroom up…found a little beetle in his sheets…chunked the boxsprings because I cut the liner off the bottom and found 1 casing. I vacuumed over and over, steamed, spayed BB Patrol, washed EVERYTHING. This time however, I called in a professional for an inspection. He concurred that based on description of our battle that we did have bed bugs. I showed him the beetle found in my son’s sheets…he I’d it as a carpet beetle. He then said that carpet beetles do indeed bite despite having read otherwise. His summary: He found no evidence of any bedbugs upon inspection…thinks it was likely bedbugs downstairs but also sees carpet beetles in window sill. Treatment estimated to start at $1500 but expressed that it appeared to him that we took care of the problem having gone to extreme measures of throwing out mattress, carpet, steaming, vacuuming spraying BB Patrol…etc…! He recommended we continue to be proactive…vacuume, keep clothes off of the floor, routinely inspect. AND…if we start to get bites again…give him a call. SO….that’s where we are today. I do think that Bed Bug Patrol was effective but used in conjunction with other diligent practices. Only time will tell…these little pests can live up to a year without feeding on you. I can only hope and pray that they are gone. So that’s our story about a Christmas box that sat under our tree…it truly was the gift that kept on giving:(
Amazing, Effective, So far, so good. The last week of January, I discovered a tiny bug crawling toward me as I sat on my couch (which, btw, was purchased brand new 10 years ago and whereupon, I must admit, I have been sleeping since prior to the Nov election). Instinctively, I killed it right away and didn’t give it another thought. A couple of days later & then over the next week I saw several more, this time catching them & identifying them through a magnifying glass, as BED BUGS, to my shock and horror!!! A good friend who suspected she had bed bugs a year ago was charged thousands of dollars by a dog-sniffing abatement firm, while turning her apartment inside out and throwing away most of her belongings. I wasn’t about to go through all that. I did not want any toxic chemicals in my environment because I’m still kind of holed up due to Covid-19 social distancing, so with my DIY mindset, I decided I was going to attempt to get rid of them myself. I did some online research and ordered a bottle of “Bed Bug Patrol”. Meanwhile I vacuumed every inch & crevice of my couch, the floor, the baseboards, mopped; basically Spring cleaned. I then sprayed the bottom of my couch with the bug killer, as well as the floor where it meets the walls, around electrical sockets, etc., as directed.I stopped seeing bugs IMMEDIATELY after the first application. I decided to continue to sleep on the couch for fear that the bugs might follow me to the bedroom, where fortunately none were detected. Nevertheless, I treated the whole bedroom, to be sure. (I suspected that the bugs got into my space either 1) through the wall behind my couch which I share with a new neighbor that that recently moved in, 2) picked up from having sat on a bench at the DMV or 3) from the back seat of a taxicab that week.Initially the scent (Clove & Spearmint) was overpowering, so I slept with an N95 mask, concerned that it was going to irritate my sinuses or throat. No irritation and by the next day I had gotten used to it and now really like the scent, as I associate it with a feeling of security. I reapplied 3 more times, a week apart each & plan to continue to reapply beyond the recommended time frame, and then periodically from now on, as a prophylactic measure. This product really worked for me and I highly recommend it!

It hasn’t worked yet. I worked all day yesterday cleaning linens, vacuuming, washing clothes, putting mattress covers on, spraying and letting it dry and I still was bitten and found a bed bug in my bed last night. I have more places to clean and spray, but I thought that they would stay out of the bed if it was sprayed. Do I have to start all over or just spray the clean linens on the bed again? I am so discouraged and panicked! in the next 2 weeks I sprayed 2 more times, rewashed all of our clothes and the bugs were still coming. I had to order a stronger chemical spray and rip out our carpet to get rid of these bugs. Bed bug patrol did not control these bugs for more than a week. I started coming home from work every other day and sprayed the beds and letting them dry by the time that we went to bed. It smelled good and i was comfortable at night. I slept in a long sleeved t shirt and leggings and socks to keep them from biting me. I wish that I had returned this spray as it just did not last long enough. Thank you, Bernadette
good quality overall. while this product did not completely cure the problem on the first use, it was easy to use, had a decent smell and didn’t harm mattress covering or seem to stain anything. I’ve reapplied and am hopeful the matter is resolved. I only ever saw one bug!
I take this everywhere I stay. Even if I stay at a 5 star hotel… I take this with me. Pull back the sheets, give it a spray, head out to lunch/ dinner etc and them come back and it’s dry and good to go. Never stay in a hotel without this now.
Not the safest for cats. So this claims to be safe for cats while containing peppermint oil and clove oil which are both super toxic to cats …. I did not know that before buying ! So I sprayed only the cracks and crevices in my room where my cat doesn’t lick or stuff she will lay on is a no no!Deff let this product air dry a few hours with a fan and open windows before bringing cat back into area just to be safe I also wiped down the spots after using this !Other than that it Deff kills all types of bugs and as a human I enjoy the smell it’s not overwhelming and it doesn’t smell too strong!I Deff think they should let ppl know about essential oils being toxic to animals if inhaled and swallowed.Again if u have a cat take lots of precautions and be careful with this product.Sincerely a cat lover

Anxiety helper. I have ptsd from having bedbugs after purchasing something from marketplace that had them on it many years ago. This summer I was once again convinced we had bed bugs. One hotel we stayed at just for a few hours ended up having them shortly before we were there. (I saw reviews after the fact) Idk what floor it was a large hotel but I had noticed bites after staying there. It wasn’t clusters but random bites. We had professionals treat our apt when it actually happened but it’s expensive and I didn’t know if it was another episode and just mosquito bites or real so I did crossfire twice. I didn’t want to keep using chemicals when I wasn’t sure so I found this product . It smells great and definitely is a great repellent to bring to hotels- I’ll be packing it always. I haven’t had any bites since and my mental health is in a much better state. It repels bedbugs and kills them on site. If you have an infestation you may need something that has long lasting residue. However this product definitely works.
Customer service and communication. The Company “Buy Naturally” reviewed my comment regarding my evaluation of the product “Bed Bug Patrol” This is a great product as I have used it for myself several years back and it erradicated and solved my Bed Bug Problem. This time it could have been an error on my part applying it. Anyway the company reached out to me and refunded me the total cost of everything related to the product to shipping and taxes. This is a company that follows the ancient rule of Customer Service. This is how a company should be, and a Company that believes in their products! Will definitely buy from again shoud the need arise. Thank you very much Don Miller
Worked really great. After speaking with the bug guy that came out. nothing that was safe and natural was going to work. But I ran across this and read the reviews, gave it a try, and pow, the bugs are gone. This along with some diatomaceous earth, has worked wonderfully, and no toxic chemicals has had to be used. We have a kitty, and grand kids, and it has been a God send for us to stay toxic free. The smell is not bad at all, it smells like peppermint and dissipates in half day.

Didn’t work for me.. smells good tho. Update: the company has reached out & offered a refund, which i appreciate! Great customer service. The spray you hope you never need.. Got some items from a recently vacated home, later found out they had bedbugs there! I prefer to use natural treatments whenever possible, so purchased this. However – I found a bug on an item I’d brought home, sprayed this directly on it and the bug casually continued to move about like it owned the place. Shiver. Promptly tossed the item in the trash and proceeded to vacuum like a crazy person, obsessively check every possible nook & cranny, put sticky traps all over the house, and vacuumed some more. And then some more for good measure. This spray smells good at least! And might work for fleas or something… didn’t seem to do it for the bedbug tho.. maybe it would be enough to ward them off your luggage while traveling? YUCK!! Hopefully never need to worry about it again!!

Works but only for a day or two. Works good but I shouldn’t have to spray this every day. It needs to be longer lasting.
