So far so good. I couldn’t pass up the deal on Prime Day. I have an Amazon plug and it was very easy to set up. I’d tried another brand previously, I forget what it was – some off brand(gosund?), and it was always giving me grief. I finally had to throw it away. Right past the return window of course.I recently got a Govee dehumidifier that hooked to Alexa and the Govee app really impressed me! I decided if I needed any more plugs or bulbs, to get Govee to save from having to get yet another app.I can’t say this will work for everyone but I have 5G internet. It’s ATT fixed wireless and the only thing available to me in a rural area. The plugs still work. I didn’t change any modem settings. If they didn’t work, I figured I’d just send them back.Anyway, they work as well as the Amazon ones, they look similar, they have the same little button on the side you can use to turn it on and off manually, and now I have a plug to turn the salt lamp and pet water fountain on and off at my leisure lol
Works perfectly fine with Google Mesh. I was a bit afraid before I bought this product due to some reviews saying that plugs won’t connect to dual bandwidth supporting routers (unless you walk far away enough to lose 5 ghz connection).However, I worried for nothing. The connection is simple, and the only caveat is the fact that the app won’t be able to connect to Wifi automatically. You simply have to type your wifi name and passwd, then boom. You are connected.Now, my backyard lighting, gundam case LEDs, and dining table lightings are all connected to wifi, and this whole thing took 5 min.I will have to see how stable this product is over time, but so far, it’s great.
El Bestiest. I’ve never had a smart plug that was this easy to set up, activate, and use on a daily basis. Total non-fail. Currently have them rigged on my AC unit, fridge, and living room lamp. If you’re taking a nap and only want the AC to run for a half hour to get you to sleep, for example, you can just say, “Hey Siri, please turn on the AC for half an hour,” and she’ll do it.
No offense but better than Amazon’s. Very user friendly, Amazon’s is hard to get to connect and program. These are much easier. I had bought one previously and now bought 2 to change out others I have that are a pain.
You need these to use the Govee window and door sensor. And that’s not a problem. With a couple of these in use around the home (they use Bluetooth to communicate with Govee window and door sensors and then wifi to communicate with your phone), the link between your sensors and phone is rock solid. I wasn’t really even planning to use the plugs for their main purpose of turning things on and off, but since I had them I found a use for them on 2 lamps, coffee pot and air cleaner. Now that I’m hooked on this Govee stuff, I am going to get 3 more sensors for the patio sliding doors.
