Great shoes, takes a bit to break in. This is my 3rd pair of terrex gtx sneakers, and probably the least conformable initially. I wear them to work on lawns and they do a great job of keeping my feet dry, as advertised. The materials on this model seem a little more rigid and have taken more time to wear in the than others. I wouldn’t avoid them, I’d just purchase with the awareness that they’re a bit stiff at first
Durable. These are extremely well made shoes. Gifted to my grand son, who is tough on footwear lol. I’m sure they are built to withstand even the toughest guys. The sole is magnificent! He says the are super comfy as well. Great purchase
Best shoes in the world. I have several pairs of these shoes it’s the only shoes I wear . I probably have 10 or more pairs in different colors but same style . They are great feet stay dry and they are very comfortable and durable shoes and fit like a glove !!!
Great quality and comfort. These are very well designed. The quality is good
good quality for a bargain price. Good quality shoes and with a great price
Impressive hiking shoe that fits very well. I spend a good amount of my time outdoors, and would consider myself a ‘gear nerd’. I already have a pair of Adidas trail running shoes in my gear collection which are much more lightweight than these shoes. These shoes are much more heavy duty. If you are looking for a more roomy, robust hiking shoe that has a stiffer sole with heavy duty large lugs, you won’t be disappointed. In my opinion these shoes are built to accommodate a thicker sock. I immediately replaced the insole the shoe came with, with an insole that has better arch support. This upgrade to the insole made this shoe feel much better on my feet. They are roomy but not too much. Overall, I’m very impressed, they fit well and are very, very comfortable. I bought a size 8 in blue and they look and feel very nice. You might also find that you like the insole the shoe came with. Overall, I’m very happy with these shoes and wouldn’t hesitate wearing them on the most demanding terrain found anywhere and highly recommend.
Good shoes, they run large. I really like these shoes. They are comfortable, have a good design/color scheme, aren’t heavy, and feel durable. Only issue (and the reason for taking off one star) is that the size runs quite large. I’m usually a size 9.5, including other Adidas sneakers. These might be the first hiking shoes I’ve purchased (from any brand), so maybe these kinds of shoes just tend to be roomier… perhaps because you might tend to wear thicker socks? Still, the 9.5 was just huge. Even the 9 is slightly roomier than the 9.5 I’ve had in other Adidas shoes (but I am keeping the size 9).
Great durable waterproof work shoe. I needed a waterproof shoe for work. I work in the rain and walk a lot for my job. I used to wear boots but I’ve been trying out various brands of goretex sneakers over the last few years. I’ve tried a few different Nikes and they always lost their waterproofing within a couple months. I had luck with Salomon trail shoes but they’re way too expensive for a pair of sneakers that will inevitably wear out within a year.I was originally just going to stick with Salomon, but then I noticed these on sale for under fifty dollars. I’ve never been a huge fan of adidas but for the price I figured it was worth a shot.Initially these shoes are extremely stiff. It takes a week or two of dedication to break them in, like a pair of boots almost. Once they break in though they’re as comfortable as any sneakers and are extremely grippy. Almost too grippy. They definitely take some getting used to. However, the goretex lining in these is the highest quality I’ve ever seen in a sneaker. I wore the soles through before the shoes lost their waterproofing. It really blows me away that a pair of adidas can actually be that durable. I’ve gotten a full year of use out of these which is a lot for the amount I walk.
Assault Sneakers. These will be banned some day because they look scary. Comfy and sharp looking.Would and probably will buy again.
Looks great, ball too tight and not wide enough. Shoe looks great and is made of quality materials, but despite being the right size the shoe is too tight at the ball of the foot. Toe box has ample space so toes aren’t squashed, but the end of my 5th lesser metatarsal (pinkie toe) ends up red and irritated from how tight the shoe is at its widest part. Funny thing is its just on my right foot, left foot fits fine. I’m using a shoe stretcher to see if I can stretch the fabric and going on long walks with the dog to try to break them in prior to the travel I purchased these shoes specifically for. Should have entertained buying waterproof sneakers from Columbia or North Face even though they are less fashionable. I’m at an age where comfort over “coolness” matters.too late to return them as I’ve thrown away the box and have used them, but lesson learned.
