Our cat loves this cat food. Our cat grew up on Science Diet and it is really good cat food. We switched a couple years ago to Purina ONE because we had trouble finding the Science Diet and realized it was much more expensive. We did not take switching cat food for Sophie lightly. We made sure the nutrition was equivalent to that of the Science Diet. We transitioned her to the Purina ONE and she loves it.I do wish that the Purina One cat food was packaged in a resealable bag. That’s my only complaint.
Older cats who only eat the chicken flavor will love this. I have 2 older, indoor cats and they seem to be happy with this chicken flavor food. No complaints heard, and bowls keep getting cleaned out (one of my cats goes around and licks the other’s empty bowl every time).
It really helps with my senior cat. My cat is 14 years old. When we started her on this food, we noticed that her coat looks good, she’s energectic, and has really helped with her hairballs. Highly recommended for senior cats.
Will buy again. My cat is 17 yrs old. He’s been on Purina One since he was a kitten. Saw this product for Senior cats and gave it a try. He ate the whole bag, and loved it. I like that it’s high protein. Quality product, good price.

Got my senior cat to eat. I have a 12 year-old cat that was refusing to eat hard food. We were feeding her soft food several times a day, which as you can imagine gets rather expensive. I thought I would give hard food another try and change brands. Let me tell you it is hard to find cat food that is meant for seniors, which is rather funny because there are a lot of senior cats. After starting her on the Purina, senior cat food, I was surprised and elated to find that she was eating hard food again I found that the 4 1/2 pound bag was perfect for about a month of food for her. The Purina, senior food, doesn’t have an overly strong odor which some cat foods can have; overall I would recommend this food to a friend looking for senior hard food.
Lasts a long time. It was cheaper then in any store & lasted 4 months.

My older long hair kitty. likes this food. This is the best hairball formula I’ve found for reducing hair puke balls.
Senior Hairballs. I switched from the Purina One Hairball formula when my cat got older. This is working as well as the original one and kitty likes it just as well.
Doesn’t taste good. I won’t lie – I thought this tasted really awful. But the cat seems to like it, so 5 stars from her.
Seems to be excellent food for senior cats. No health problems. Cat is about 18 years hold. Been eating this food for at least the last 4 years. Healthy, though a bit heavy, due to perhaps a few too many treats!!! 😊.
Dry cat food for older cats with real chicken and more protein. Senior cat food, 7lb. bag. My cat loves this and It checks all the blocks for digestion, bone health, muscle support/etc. It’s less calories than some other dry foods, but the only way i have found to reduce weight is to consume less honestly. That said, i would not call this a diet cat food, but a lower calorie/healthy combination of protein and carbs that i believe is a good healthy alternative for a senior cat.

Nice food for older cats. Great cat food. All mine are 7 years old and not active. I’m trying to keep them at a decent weight and they all like this mixed with a can of wet cat food. I like that it’s not colored…

The protein content helps my 17-year-old maintain muscle mass, which was a big concern for me, and at the same time, it hasn’t caused either of them to gain excess weight. They stay satisfied without getting chunky, unlike some other foods.If there’s a limitation, it’s just that every cat is different, but after trying much more specialized and pricey brands, this one worked best for mine.This food is ideal for senior cats who need solid protein, good weight control, and something they’ll actually eat.
