  1. Did not work right and not everything was there. When I tried to message them they wouldn’t message me back. I ended up going to the actual company and they replaced it.

  2. It’s pricey because it actually works, without stressing your dog out. TRAINING WITHOUT STRESS:Great training tool, is working on my very stubborn dogs. I like that there are 100 stimulation levels, so that I have the ability to train my dogs without causing them distress. I set it at the lowest level necessary to get their attention.THIS IS NOT A “SHOCK COLLAR” (when used properly):People who say that stimulation collars are inhumane probably don’t realize that these modern stimulation collars are nothing like yesterday’s shock collar. I held it in my hand while applying stimulation, so that I could see what it felt like. It does not hurt, but it does get your attention.GIVES TONE OR VIBRATION OPTIONS:You can set it to give tone or vibration prior to giving stimulation, so dogs quickly associate the vibration with the need to pay attention. Half the time I don’t even have to use stimulation.WORKED ON MY 2 YEAR OLD RESCUES WITH NO PRIOR TRAINING:I have only been using it for 7 days, and I see more improvement in just 7 days than I have in their entire life. They actually seem calmer because they have clear consistent training. No anxiety from wondering what is expected of them and trying to figure out boundaries and rules.START LOW, GO SLOW:Just start your dog at a low setting, I started at three and worked my way up. I found a level 17 to be perfect for one dog, and a level 25 to be perfect for the other dog.MUST BE SNUG:Just make sure that the collar is snug enough to produce the same amount of stimulation every time. If it is too loose, the level will feel much different depending on the dogs position.USE WITH POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT:I recommend using it in conjunction with positive reinforcement. Every time they respond appropriately, they get a treat. This product has done wonders for my dogs.FOR THOSE ON THE FENCE:For those on the fence that are concerned about stress caused by stimulation, consider how stressful it is for a dog when they get yelled at or punished – and can’t figure out what they did wrong.READ THE MANUAL. THEN READ IT AGAIN:This is a pretty high-tech item, and definitely requires a full understanding of how to use it. I read the entire instruction manual several times before I put it on the dogs. It’s a little bit complicated at first, but reading the instruction manual and watching YouTube videos really helps. Give yourself a few days to practice before you actually put it on the dog.CHEAPER THAN THE ALTERNATIVE:And yes, $300 feels like a lot of money to spend on stimulation collars. However, after using them I realized that they saved me so much money. I had already done a consultation with a professional dog trainer, and was about to spend $1800 to get both my dogs professionally trained – that was the lowest quote I could find. With these stimulation collars, I do not need a professional trainer because I am able to do it myself successfully. And we are talking about two dogs that were pretty much feral when I got them. Now that I don’t need a professional dog trainer, I essentially saved $1500….and my sanity.I hope this review was helpful in answering some of your questions! ♥️

  4. Just buy it. My husband purchased this a few months ago for our goldendoodle puppy. And I purchased Foraisv bark collar (to be used when our dog is home alone in her crate–she used to bark like crazy when we weren’t home & our neighbors would complain). Between this e-collar and the bark collar, we now have the perfect dog. And it actually improved the relationship with our dog. She’s so well behaved, we can take her anywhere now… Road trips, Grand Canyon, Redwoods, Yosemite. She does great. And she has so much fun. We even occasionally take her into restaurants with us & she is quiet and well behaved. We go hiking & walk on the beach, off-leash (with her e-collar on). And just FYI, she is only 10 months old. Everyone who meets her comments on how happy she is. She is great with other people & dogs. These training tools have worked tremendously. She now knows the rules & she understands that we’re in charge. We still use positive reinforcement & consistently praise her & give her treats when she is good. I hear a lot of people saying these collars are abusive and inhumane. That’s a bunch of BS. Sheltes are full of returned dogs, and many of those dogs are put down. So many people give up their dogs due to bad behaviors.. when all they probably needed was a good training tool like this. If positive reinforcement alone was all that was needed to correct bad behaviors, then sheltes wouldn’t be filled with returned dogs. I don’t see how this can be abusive, unless used incorrectly & irresponsibly. We keep the e-collar at level 15 & we have never had to go past level 18. She does not respond at levels lower than 15. But every dog is different, just find their tolerance level. The best thing about both this e-collar and the bark collar is that we find that we are using them less and less… Because she’s learning very quickly, without us always having to use them. That was the goal! We are very satisfied. This has saved us loads of time, money & headaches.

READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU USE…E-Collar – ET-300-1/2 Mile Remote Mini Educator. You need to read the instruction book and watch a few videos before you slap this collar on and go. IT IS VERY powerful. I have tested this on my hand and it hurts. So, the Tapping is great in that it just vibrates but the other options range from a small shock to a shock that will hurt. Obviously, if you use this correctly you should not need that stimulation, BUT it is there so beware. The other thought is the collar. I have it very snug as recommended and it does not stay in place. JRMSH

  6. my dog pays attention to this device. Easy to start to use. Wide range of signal strength. My dog responds well to the tone. He comes more readily now even to just voice commands. Have rarely needed to use the S buttons. This is after 4 years of training with other methods and devices. Finally success!

You get what you pay for. Initial impressions are it works great. It offers correction immediately when the buttons are pushed, and the corrections are effective. We have the shock setting at 23. But we mostly use the buzz feature, which works most of the time on our Lab. It’s only when he’s running full tilt after something that we have had to use the shock and it works. He immediately heads back to us. This is especially important when a dog is running towards a street, or at a wild animal that could cause him harm. We’ve had less expensive training collars and they worked intermittently, which is very bad. Consistency is critical when using training collars and it’s frustrating to have a delayed correction. You certainly do not want to correct a positive behavior like running back to you. We bought this one based on the recommendations of friends who have used them long term, so I expect we will have the same success. I would recommend this unit.

  8. Keep instructions handy. It works great on young Aussi, the on and off design takes getting used to, once I got it figured out it’s just what was needed to train our dog

  9. Amazing for training. Love this! We bought it for our puppy over a year ago and love it! I like being able to check the collar by using the tone to ensure it’s on. The light also helps at night since she is a completely black dog.

  10. Amazon Customer July 23, 2024 at 12:00 am

Great product mostly. We’ve used a mini educator with our GSP for 3 years now and it’s been phenomenal. No issues with her swimming while wearing it. Charges quick and has a solid range. The flash light on the collar is great for night time as well. Robust design and great item. Reduced to 4/5 stars because our remote has just bit the dust. Charges and shows a green light, but as soon as you hit a tone or shock button it turns off like it dies. I wish E-Collar had a better warranty than two years, but even with this issue we’ll definitely buy another.

  11. Amazing prodcut that works as advertised. This is more expensive than other products out there, but I have already wasted my money on cheaper products that did not have the range, or the batteries died, or the product just broke from normal use. I have a German Shepard and this product works great. After a corrective shock for bad behavior the vibration mode is all that is require 100% of the time unless forming or break a new habit. Both the collar and hand held are rugged and the batterly life is excellent. We did upgrade the collar band to a quick connect type. My dog does not mind the collar at all, when we put it on in the morning it means good times are to follow.

  12. Excellent product better customer service. I’ve tried many training devices. This is by far the best. Most companies can make a good product but very few have a support team that makes you want to refer them to everyone. After a few months of use one of my transmitters died on me. In an extremely painless process Ed said he would send me a new one and help me pair it with my receiver if I needed more help than the accompanying instructions. Great product and great community for caring for the customers

  13. Tenser unit to correct behavior. Seen the unit show up multiple times in American standard dog training videos and read the other reviews and it’s well worth the investment. Please do research and get training on how to properly utilize this tool. It’s not a wonder button to make your dog behave better but it is a great tool to have in the toolbox for training.Dial on the remote is a little touchy accidentally got set higher than intended once before I learned I could lock in the intensity. Instructions included please read them. Belly rubs and lots of treats ensued after the mistake.Tested on myself after and there is no shock it’s like a tenser unit and it feels like a pinch.Solid build on the collar. Love the sizing adjustability. Charge lasts well. Recommend if walking at night using the flashlight mode but charging after or the next day otherwise might realize halfway through the walk the collar is dead. Lights off it will last a good while.

  14. Update – Great collar when it works. Got in touch with the manufacturer. It was easy to contact them, even easier to talk with a real human! They care about their product and it shows! Things have taken care of. This collar is amazing for our uses. We have a boy, rescue, that had to go to boot camp, a cane corso/neopolitan mix. I was taught when and how to use it. Mostly, we give a quick tap to get him to stop counter surfing. I put it on him when I wake up and it’s on him till bedtime. He may go 2 weeks before I actually remind him it’s on. Boot camp was 4yrs ago and the collar finally died in October. I bought the same exact collar then. This collar. After 2 1/2 months, it died. That is the reason for 3 stars. For the price it should last longer.

  15. Great Buy. Works well when in use. I was having a hard time getting it to sync properly. Now I’m looking for a replacement remote with no luck finding one.

  16. Helped us tremendously. I waited a while before writing a review: We bought the mini educator for our Aussie pup in August’24 that was nipping and grabbing our arms and legs no matter what I did (we did) he continued literlly making us bleed with his extra sharp teeth. (esp. when he had quick crazy spirts of energy come out of now where) Bought this as a recommendation from our daughter (who gave her lab freedom to run using this) and it works like a charm for both of us! Our Aussie is smart and learned quickly that the vibration is all he needed to stop. He is turning a year old and all we’ve had to do is show him the device and he backs off. He’s a fantastic dog!!. He’s calming down nicely without needing to use the educator much at all, (he’s maturing beautifully.) but having the collar on at night when he wants to go out, has been a blessing so we can see where he is on our farm. It’s been the best investment! I’ve raised big and med. dogs before be he was very dominate and my arms were full of scars. I am sure this can be a life saver for frustrated families and I’m sure it will save some dogs from being brought to a shelter. Every dog can be trained but some dogs just need a mini educator for a little while to bring some skin protection to the unsuspecting owners. :). This collar holds his dog tag and he sits patiently to get his collar on. This comes highly recommened. Our dog is now 67lbs. and he was around 30lbs when we began using it. ( I wrote an update that the shock didn’t work and was going to call the company but it IS working correctly. I really like this product and am not sure what happened in the few hours it didn’t work)

  17. Worth every penny. After years of putting off getting an ecollar, I finally got one. The jubow for $40ish dollars. And my god was it horrible. The base shock was so high, idk how youd ever condition a dog to it. The base was around a lvl 50 of the mini educators. Insane. Anyways i returned it and got this one. Love the vibration and sound options. Stopped my dog in his tracks the first time I used it. Slowly getting him acclimated to the stimulation. Havent had any issues so far. No issue w/ charging or dying on me. Love that you can lock it. Pls for the love of your dog, if you plan on using an ecollar, do not get the cheap ones. Youll just end up terrifying and shutting your dog down. Get this or something of equal value

  18. Works great. This is a game changer. Love having this but the only thing I don’t like is that it has to be charged practically every day or it dies.

Turns spicy elder millennial dogs into well-mannered citizens. Our pitbulls have entered their “get off my lawn” phase of life—grumpy, selective hearing, and entirely too confident in their bad decisions. Enter the Mini Educator. This thing is sorcery. Between the tone, vibration, and stimulation settings, it lets us redirect the chaos without yelling across the yard like unhinged neighbors. The remote is sleek and easy to use, and the range? Chef’s kiss. We can correct from a distance and still keep their dignity (mostly) intact. It’s humane, adjustable, and has them behaving like they just signed up for doggy debt repayment plans. They strut back like, “Yes ma’am, message received.”Pros:Multiple training modes (tone, vibrate, zap — in that order)Strong range (½ mile = backyard freedom)Rechargeable and durableTurns sass into submission (in a nice way)Cons:Doesn’t stop the judging side-eye when they’re over itFinal Verdict:Perfect for spicy pups with selective hearing and a senior streak of rebellion. It’s like a respectful Jedi mind trick—“You will sit.” And they do.
