  1. WOW. Our 15 yr old toaster oven(Cuisinart Convection oven) oven decided to finally die, so I was looking for something new, but in a similar form factor, while keeping the convection oven part. That ended up presenting a problem. I could find several toaster ovens WITHOUT the convention part. that were the same size, but almost every toaster oven with the convection feature was quite large and a counter hog. I looked at another Cuisinart, a Breville and several others, but they were big, compared to what we had.Enter this oven. While it is wider and a little deeper, is is lower in height and better yet… IT FOLDS UP, so we have more space, when not in use, than we had with our old toaster oven. Yes, it is not as tall as other ovens, which means no rotisserie chickens but we never really used our toaster oven for that type thing anyway. On the functionality, it has a convention offering called air broil(which is different from air frying) and also not only does that but air frying, air roasting, toasting(separate bagel setting too), baking, dehydrating and even warming. Way more than our old toaster oven could do.The toasting and bagels setting result in perfect toast/bagels and the air broiling is quicker and better than our old convection oven. We have baked several thing in the oven and it resulted in great results so far. We are also excited to try the dehydrating function as well, but not excited as to the length of time it will take(something like 6-8 HOURS, depending on what you are dehydrating). To clean it, simply remove the crumb tray, flip up and open the bottom panel. This gives you easy access to the burners for easy cleaning. One of the main complaints(besides the obvious, it’s not very tall) is the power plug comes straight out from the outlet, so you can’t put the oven close to the wall, if your outlet is directly behind the oven, it will still out from the wall, a good 6 inches. What I did was buy a 1 ft flat 3 prong extension cord, which was only a half inch thick. This allowed me to put the plug right behind the oven and keep it close to the wall(make sure you buy one rated for the power the toaster oven needed).ProsSpace saving FILIP UP design. When done(and after it cools down), just flip it up out of the way. Many different functions(as seen above).Makes just about perfect toast and bagelsBaking and air broiling work fantasticVERY easy to cleanConsNot very tall, so you may have issues with taller things you want to cookThe power cord plug is straight out from the socket, so you can’t put the plug directly behind the unit, without it sticking out far from the wall. As mentioned, I had to buy a flat plug to be able to keep the plug directly behind the unit.Stainless steel is nice looking… until it gets loaded with finger prints. It will require a lot of cleaning, use of stainless steel cleaner to keep it looking good. All in all, this is a GREAT and innovative buy and well worth the price(unless you want to roast a chicken r tall items in it).

  3. I’m impressed and recommend unless you need more height. First, it is probably important to know that I am transitioning from an old Samsung Convection Toaster Oven to this and I have only been using this for two weeks.I looked at other options but they seemed huge (in size). One of the complaints I have read about the Ninja SP101 is that it is smaller. It is. It is good sized in depth and width but lacks (for some) in height. For me, that works but even when I made a good sized amount of nachos I had to press it down a bit so it didn’t get too near the heating element. I am single and cook for 1-2 people and this is ideal. It takes up a bit larger footprint than my ancient Samsung but is lower profile. I don’t mind the lower profile (I prefer it) and unless you are wanting to cook multiple items or any foods that are higher vertical then this is fine. It also looks good sitting on my counter.PROS:I like the controls and after a short learning curve is pretty simple to use. This pre-heats up quickly and cooks fast. The first item I cooked was frozen fries and used the Air Fryer. The fries were crisp and tasty. I was very happy with this.I toasted bread and bagels and it seemed to toast fairly uniformly taking a bit longer that I thought it would considering how powerful this oven is. I’m good with this.I used Air Broil to make nachos and it was perfect and quick!I used Bake to make some cookies and used parchment paper and it worked well.I ordered the casserole dish, thinking the higher sides would help prevent messes. Last night I cooked a wok dinner with tofu cubes, peppers, onions, noodles (boiled first), carrots, broccoli, celery and cashews with a teriyaki marinade. OMG, this was so good and no messes and the new casserole dish is non stick and although lighter and most likely cheaper (in quality), I prefer using this to the pan that came with the oven. Dinner was delicious!I have not used Dehydrate and Keep Warm functions yet.The light is a nice feature.CONS:During Air Fry the left front corner seems to cook hotter and burnt the edges of my french fries in this corner. The fries (in just this corner) were still edible just blackened.I have read that some customers thought the oven was difficult to clean. The sheet pan included with the oven is heavier than the casserole dish I later purchased but it seems more difficult to clean, as I had to make a few attempts to remove cheese. The surface is not smooth and has small bumps on it that concern me, but really not with reason as of yet. My main focus is to keep the oven clean and prevent splattering and boil overs as the heating elements are exposed and I feel are vulnerable. I will be using parchment paper and using the casserole dish more than the sheet pan. I have not made pizza yet but my concern here is that if I set the pizza on the rack there is nothing below it to catch any potential mess and can fall on the heating elements. There is the crumb tray but that is below the heating element. My initial thought was to place the cooking sheet under the wire rack but the sheet (and casserole dish) are designed to sit on top of the rack and don’t use the grooves on the sides to support itself. I tested out putting the crumb tray directly under the wire rack and it does fit so this would protect the heating element but if I’m going to do this, I probably should just use the cooking sheet pan instead. I have often considered putting a silicone baking sheet under the wire rack to catch any drippings or mess but, again, does this defeat the open cooking of using the wire rack? I’d prefer to cook a pizza in a pan rather than drip on the heating element as my biggest concern (from other reviews) was that once it drips on the element it is nearly impossible to clean. Right now I am operating under the delusion of keeping the SP101 new but this is not practical (for any oven). It would be nice if the tray was spring loaded and would come out when the door was opened. You must manually pull out the tray or wire rack to remove from oven so you really need to have oven mitts at the ready to even add ingredients. My Air Fry Basket has a minor defect in the middle of it but is minor.Other:I don’t use the flip feature as I’m OK with its footprint and as I said earlier, it looks good sitting on the counter. But the flip feature does work well and if you are interested in this feature it seems worthwhile.I have been pulling the oven out when I use it to keep the cord away from the oven and giving it more space to ventilate. I have a plastic can opener mounted above where I use the oven. Even after a 450 degree cooking the can opener is warm to the touch but does not get too hot. The sides of the oven don’t get overly hot (but the glass does). This seems well built and I probably don’t need to pull it out but will continue to do so.I don’t think I will ever have a reason to use my regular oven again. This oven is big enough (for my cooking needs) and this oven pre-heats so much faster than my big oven, cooks more evenly and is more convenient. I am going to give my big oven a good cleaning and know it will stay clean as I probably won’t use it again. This oven is a good air fryer and I am impressed with the results, but I have never had an air fryer before. All the other functions seem really good. The wire rack and sheet pan are sturdy but I wish the sheet pan could support itself using the rails like how the air fry basket does. The air fry basket is flexible but still sturdy and mine had a minor defect. The crumb try is fine. I really like the added casserole tray. I would highly recommend this product unless you need or want the extra height of the Cuisinart TOA60. The Cuisinart, after reading reviews, was my first pick but after looking at the overall footprint, I decided against it. I am happy with the size and performance of the Ninja SP101.I will update this only if I have some issue with the oven.

Love this thing. Only have had this for a bit over a month. So far very happy with it. This replaced a medium sized tabletop convection oven/toaster and using for “frying” instead of a micro/convection/air fryer combo and an oil deep fryer.PROS:++Very good with frozen foods like French fries etc++Large capacity air fryer basket. Especially helpful when doing large number of items since a deep fryer may only take a few minutes to fry something when this might take 20.++Great for spur of the moment cravings for French fries or tator tots without having to pull out deep fryer, fill with oil, wait for it to heat up, fry, then clean up, strain oil, etc++Does a good job with toasting- not the best with evenness but perfectly acceptable. I mainly eat sliced rounds of sourdough bread, so much larger than “regular” bread so they will not fit in a pop up type toaster. It definitely does a better faster job of toasting than the convection/toaster oven it replaced.++Love the temperature probe. I even took a chance on cooking thick ribeye steaks in it. Used the sear tray and turned the steaks over half way through cooking. Put the temp probe in the steak before starting and the oven turned itself off at the correct temperature and after letting the steaks rest as usual after cooking, they came out perfectly medium rare with a decent crust on the outside. Though not quite as good as a cast iron pan or a grill they came out great. Also the temp probe temperature matched my instant read thermometer.++Love that it has an oven light that you can turn on and see what’s going on inside. Especially helpful to me when doing toast. As I haven’t yet gotten used to the proper setting (time) for toasting++Like that it will store upright to free up counter space. I just put the three trays inside then fold it up. I hadn’t realized how much space that the oven it replaced took up.CONS:—Made fried chicken. I like chicken thighs so they have a lot of fat in them. I breaded them as usual and did two batches. I used the temp probe which was very helpful but the chicken only came out so so. It was edible but no where near what deep frying in oil would do. Chicken itself was cooked and juicy but the breading had much to be desired. Biggest issue is that there is nowhere for the fat and juices to go except drop onto the lower heating elements and bottom pull out ‘crumb tray’— It is not easy to clean. After doing chicken and the steaks trying to clean the inside was a frustrating time consuming effort. After I had done the chicken, I cleaned it as well as I could then ended up running the oven at 500 degrees for about an hour to burn off the residue remaining. Filled the house with smoke but got most of the residue out. Still see ‘stains’ where stuff/fat had splattered.— The glass in the door is inset so when you pull out the fry basket or toast, the crumbs just fall into the deep set window, it’s like a pool that just catches everything.OVERALL:I am really happy I purchased this. The large capacity, toasting and to my surprise -when cooking two steaks that were almost $60- cooks steaks satisfactory++ though not as good as a grill. The temp probe accurately shuts down the oven when cooking. Do have to obviously adjust cooking time with prepared frozen foods/French fries etc due to freezer temperature. The freezer in my refrigerator is at about 28 degrees while my deep freezer sits at about -5 degrees. Does a good job at toasting bread. Folds up to save on counter space. Without being too picky about it since still on a learning curve on how to use it… biggest problem is it is not easy to clean, the deep set window in the door that catches every darn crumb and no ‘drip tray’ to catch juices from air fryer basket. Overall impression of frying.. it’s great at prepared foods from freezer section at grocery store, it does take longer than deep frying in oil but less mess (French fries, etc) But for fresh made things like fried chicken, I’m going to have to use my Dutch oven on the stove to deep fry instead of using the air fryer, especially since I already gave my deep fryer away.

Muuuuy bueno, lo compre en promoción pero es muy bueno

  7. Used way more than my oven. I have had this little air fryer for 4 years now and I use it nearly daily. As someone who’s kids have left home, I don’t want to heat up the big oven for a single dish and that’s where this little appliance shines.I discovered that cooking a 1.5″ steak from frozen to medium-rare takes me 38 minutes at 275F, start to finish, in this air fryer, and produces a juicy, perfectly cooked steak. It re-heats pizza and homemade, frozen fried chicken both to near-fresh crispness. It does a good job with English muffins to a medium toast. I’m not sure how well it would actually toast 9 slices of bread like in the commercials, but it browns smaller amounts of baked goods evenly.Storage is fairly easy – it flips upright and fits under most upper cupboards so you can push it back against the wall and clear up counter space. The downside? It’s a pain to clean and its low profile means that you cannot put tall foods in it. For example, you cannot heat up a ramekin with mac & cheese as it is too tall to fit on the rack. And you HAVE to use at least the bottom rack, which is a third of the way from the bottom of the oven, so it makes a narrow space even more constricted. If you bake a lot of store-bought frozen pizzas, then this is the perfect appliance. If you want to use it as a smaller oven, then there are better options out there. That being said, I use mine almost daily and for the things that will fit into it, it does a good job.

  8. Nice but has some flaws. Our old air fryer died so we decided to try this one. I love all the functionality BUT it has a few big flaws. For one, the bottom elements are not covered. They have a heavy mesh guard above them but anything drippy goes right onto them. I worry this will shorten the lifespan. Another thing is the bottom tray. It is metal so things bake onto it in about a heartbeat and it is difficult to clean. I tried some liners that were supposed to be rated for this unit but they melted on the first use. One other thing is the wire basket that is included. Ours appears to be starting to rust already. But, the biggy is the fan. Ours started making a loud noise after just a few months. I called the manufacturer and they just shipped us a whole new unit (minus accessories) but I’m worried the replacement won’t last either. Other than that, we use the heck out of this thing. I’ve done bacon on the griddle multiple times, used it for french fries, the toaster function works well, it is also fantastic for reheating leftovers. I’ve also used it for biscuits. I would say we use it almost every day for something.

  9. love our Ninja oven. This is our second Ninja oven. The first, I tried to wash, and it killed the Ninja. I guess I got water in the electric works. However – this new oven has instructions to do exactly what I did to clean it. So — maybe this new version is different? Also — the description for this specific oven is incorrect. In the earlier versions, you can push on a button and the bottom will drop down for easy cleaning. The bottom is fixed for this version. There is button/no way to get the bottom to drop.

  10. Fantastic space saver. I am currently on day 2 of owning this thing so, really, consider this a first impressions review.Firstly, the main draw: The flip-up feature. This really is a game changer and was chief amongst my reasons to buy this particular oven. I am happy to report that this feature works very well and gains me back a good amount of countertop space. It fits like a GLOVE flipped away under my wall cabinets. If you have low hanging wall cabinets, however, you’d do well to take a measure before purchasing to ensure you have access to this feature. This is what sets it apart from other products IMO.Secondly: The power cord. Its bad. Specifically, when plugged in, the power cord extends straight out from the wall and I think the manufacturer absolutely, positively should have opted for a low profile plug-in, especially since this is designed to flip-up to stow away. This is a serious negative as you’re not able to place this in front of the power socket its plugged into without the front of the oven protruding past the countertop and nearly falling off. If you have a very small kitchen, take a moment to be sure you’ll have adequate room. Finally, the real test: Cooking. So far, I have only reheated refrigerated pizza and air-fried some cheese sticks. To that end, this thing is a beast. The controls were easy enough to figure out without needing the manual. It has a great pre-heat feature which only starts running the timer after it gets to temperature, which is FAST. When set to 450F, pre-heating was less than 2 minutes. I was impressed. The food came out exactly as I hoped. They aren’t kidding though, watch your food carefully when you first get it. Use the light. It can quickly burn your food if you’re not familiar with convection and don’t understand the lower cook times. My only other negative is theoretical: Cleaning. I don’t think it will be TOO difficult, as the bottom tray is easy to lift out, but if you DON’T clean regularly I can easily see crumbs and debris piling up in the back when the oven is flipped up. I think the solution is probably just being proactive with cleaning it. For the lazy, maybe avoid this one.Overall impressions are very very good and, at the time I’m writing this, I’m not mad at the $170 sale price either. Go, Ninja, Go.

  11. En general la marca es de buena calidad y en particular este modelo funciona muy bien, que este en posición horizontal me funciona mejor. en cuanto al funcionamiento muy bien los resultados son muy buenos.

  12. Cooks fast and space saving. This was an upgrade from our old air fryer that didn’t hold a lot of food. Before, our air fryer would have a basket that would become scraped when cleaning with any abrasive material. (I know must appliances warn you not to, but how else would you clean it?) I’d worry that it would affect our food. With the Ninja, the pans are easy to clean with a Scrub Daddy. Just be sure to not let it sit in water long after use, and clean while it’s fairly hot, otherwise the pan loses some color. This issue maybe be user error 🙂 …. The Ninja is a lot faster, has several functions ( including toasting for bread that lets you select the darkness level), holds a good amount of food, and saves space with the flip up function. I also enjoy how the color matches the other amenities in our kitchen like our microwave and oven, so it fits in perfectly. When we moved to our new apartment, I wanted to get rid of our old (faithful) toaster oven and the air fryer that took up a lot of space, and find a 2-in-1 that would function the way we needed. The Ninja was a great option! The only thing I don’t like about this item is that it’s very limiting when you want to cook two foods at once. When using the top rack, whatever food you cook must be flat. One time I wanted to make broccoli with my chicken wings, and the broccoli prevented me from inserting the top rack due to their height. If it were fries, cool, but items that sticks up slightly makes it harder to cook family sized meals. Other than that, great product!

    Ok

  14. works well in all modes. Don’t be alarmed by the monstrous box. Its simply well packed. I bought the Ninja Air Fry Countertop Oven because I have fallen in love with my basket air fryer but my husband and I cannot tolerate the strong chemical smell and possible health risks associated with outgassing compounds. Must admit I was reluctant to give up the counter top space but the Ninja is less obtrusive than many and came highly rated. It it less deep so you do have useable counter space in front for prep. Of course you can also tip the unit up and out of the way. It is true it will be more of a hassle to keep clean, but no more than the toaster oven it replaces. It has great capacity and air fries quickly and well, with a very short pre heat. The only other setting we fuss over is toast and it performs well in that mode. The other modes worked well on quick trial. Fast, efficient, short pre heat. The instructions are a bit fiddly , but in reality I will probably leave it on one setting for toast , air fry etc. and not fuss too much with presets for the time/temp, unless I am in a time dependant mode like baking. You can certainly change time and temp in the middle of a session with no hassle. Will let folks know how it hold up over time.

  16. Versatile. This product works great, and does more than air fry, it bakes, roasts and then stacks up to take up minimal counter space. My only issues are that it is not an easy clean even tho the trays slide out. I have a smaller air fryer and while it does not have all the features, for just air frying it is very easy to clean.

  18. Perfect addition to our kitchen. We have wanted an air fryer and have done a lot of research. This product is magic! It cooks perfectly and is easy to use. The design is beautiful and saves us so much counter space. Frozen foods taste better than you can get at a restaurant, and it is easy to clean. Highly recommend!

  19. Love the improvements. So I replaced my 2020 ninja flip with this one and wow the size difference is nice as I use it for small meals so the more compact size is nicer as well as the buttons for programming are placed nicely a bit to confusing at first to understand but now that I have used it a few times it’s rather simple to useThe air fry feature is much better this time around as I feel I do not have to add time to the timer because my food appeared undercooked. The air fry is great and so crispy in less time than before using 2020 machine. The only complaint I have is this one is more noisy then the last unit.

  22. A total game changer in the kitchen. I am absolutely in love with my Ninja Flip Air Fryer! This air fryer has completely transformed the way I cook, and I can’t imagine going back to my old methods. Whether you’re a busy professional, a parent looking to make quick meals, or someone who just loves easy, healthy cooking, this air fryer will not disappoint.Innovative Design & Flip Feature:The flip function is genius! The compact design makes it perfect for small kitchens, and it saves counter space. It flips open to provide a wider cooking area when you need it, and flips closed for convenient storage when you’re done. It’s super easy to use, and the flip action just feels smooth and sturdy. I love that I can go from frying crispy fries to baking a small batch of cookies, all in one machine with just a flip. The versatility of this design is a game-changer.Crispy, Delicious Results Every Time:The Ninja Flip Air Fryer delivers perfectly crispy food with less oil, and that’s what I love most. It’s like having the crispy texture of deep frying, but with a fraction of the fat and calories. I’ve made everything from chicken wings to sweet potato fries, and they all come out golden and crisp without the greasy mess. It’s truly a healthier way to enjoy all my favorite crispy snacks!User-Friendly and Intuitive Controls:The control panel is incredibly easy to navigate, with clear, simple settings that take the guesswork out of cooking. The temperature and time adjustments are precise, and the pre-programmed settings for things like fries, chicken, and veggies ensure perfect results every time. I also love the smart flip function—the cooking basket flips to ensure even cooking, so no need to shake or flip halfway through. It makes everything so much easier.Versatile and Quick Cooking:From air frying to roasting, reheating, baking, and even dehydrating, this air fryer does it all. It’s incredibly versatile for everything from crispy snacks to full meals. The cooking time is super fast, so even when I’m in a rush, I can have a tasty, healthy meal ready in minutes. It’s a lifesaver when I need to prep a meal after a long day at work or when I want to quickly make a snack.Easy to Clean:Cleaning is a breeze! The basket and tray are non-stick, so food doesn’t cling or burn, and they’re both dishwasher safe, which makes cleanup effortless. I’ve never had any issues with food residue sticking to the inside, and it’s so much easier than cleaning up after traditional frying. A quick wipe of the exterior and a rinse of the basket, and I’m done.Space-Saving & Stylish:I’m really impressed by how compact this air fryer is—it’s not bulky at all, so it doesn’t take up much space on my countertop. The sleek, modern design looks great in my kitchen, and it’s easy to store away when not in use. The flip feature also makes it easy to tuck away without occupying too much room.Final Thoughts:If you’re in the market for an air fryer, the Ninja Flip Air Fryer is hands down the best one I’ve used. It’s fast, versatile, easy to clean, and delivers perfectly cooked food every time. I’ve used it daily since I got it, and I can’t recommend it enough. Great space saver on the counter PLUS great at baking, toasting, and air frying. I have probably written 100 reviews over the last 10 years of products that I bought on Amazon. This is the first time that five stars is not enough praise. I am amazed that it toasts so evenly. Set the number of slices (1-6) and darkness (I like 3) and bread is toasted beautifully. I can never slice rolls or bagels exactly in half, so one side is always higher. In my old toaster oven, the high side could burn while the low side did not toast. Somehow, in this toaster, on bagel setting, both high and low sides are the same, even brown. The oven settings work great as well. Cold foods are heated evenly to the center (did not know that was possible). “Air fryer” also cooks evenly and crisps the outside. The device tells you when it has cooled enough to fip back up. It turns itself off when you flip it up. The only negative is that the power cord is short at 29″, which limits where you can put it.PS: I bought this on Black Friday only because my old toaster oven had become ugly after many years of use. I had no idea a toaster oven could function as well as this.

Good Air fryer and really like how you can flip it. Good Air Fryer, easy to use and food comes out great. Also has a toast option so this replaced my toaster oven. I have air fried: veggies, Salmon, meatballs etc… Fast and easy! love it!I like the design and being able to flip the Air Fryer- I don’t have a lot of counter space, so this helps!*Easy to clean as well. That said, when flipping the Air Fryer crumbs spill out and on to the counter, maybe a design flaw? No biggie but that’s why the 4 stars and not 5

  25. Great. Starting with the packaging, the 8 in one flip impresses. The fit and finishes are flawless. Little touches like double rolled edges on the cleanout tray so there are no sharp edges indicate how much thought went into the design. We have not tried the entire range of foods, but everything so far has turned out great. The preheat is less than a minute and the countdown timer triggers an oven light 30 seconds before it turns off. It is easy to add time if needed. The temperature is precise so it is easy to duplicate results. It is perfect for a 12 inch pizza, wings, baked avocado eggs, crispy Brussel sprouts, toasted melts, etc. Everything comes out crispy and delicious. The flip up feature is handy for counter space, and the designers added a safety feature so it cannot be turned on accidentally when standing up. The heating elements are long lasting quartz. Cleaning has been simple with the addition of a silicone mat to catch drips. We are so impressed that we ordered a second one for our vacation home.
