  1. Why did I wait so long. I had been contemplating purchasing a bidet seat for quite some time mostly due to physical limitations, but I’d also experienced them many years ago throughout Europe, and appreciated the efficiency. With the purchase of a new home that has a ridiculously cramped en-suite bathroom between two bedrooms, and a toilet that is low enough to the ground to be suitable for a Lilipution, it was time. This bathroom will be completely remodeled some time in the future, but for now it just needed to be made functional without having to smash elbows into walls, etc. After a great deal of research it came down to this unit mostly because it was the only one that would fit and still allow the toilet seat to remain open on its own. There were a few electric units that might have worked but that would’ve entailed installing electrical access, which will be part if the remodel eventually.SO… I went for it. The price was too good to pass up, and delivery was free and very quick. I received it before Christmas but today was the first time everything aligned to allow me to install. For me personally the installation took about an hour, but that is strictly a reflection of my physical capabilities (and OCD), the minimal space configuration of my bathroom, and the necessity of searching around for a crescent wrench to tighten the packing nut on the shut off valve that was loosened up a bit in the process of the installation. All things considered, this installation was a piece of cake and under normal circumstances would’ve been accomplished in under 20 minutes. I literally only required a flathead screwdriver to remove the old toilet seat, and the wrench to tighten the shut off nut. The seat itself installed effortlessly with only finger tightening of all the connections. The only disappointment with the install was my toilet itself… one of the bolt holes is slightly skewed, therefore the seat is ever so slightly skewed, but not to the point of impacting functionality in any way. After the installation I attempted to check the function and discovered that turning the control knob just a fraction will activate the self cleaning wand function, which amounts to the water pouring out through the small and housing, straight down into the toilet. I thought that the wands were malfunctioning since they didn’t pop out, so i checked to make sure the shut off valve was completely open to allow maximum water pressure. Tried it again, same thing. Then I turned the knob a little bit further…HELLO!! A word of warning, if you are not going to sit on the seat to test it out, I HIGHLY recommend wrapping your bowl opening with plastic wrap as those little wands will shoot water a couple of feet out of the toilet (in this instance drenching the front of my clothes) otherwise. After taking it for a true ‘test drive’ I will say that the water pressure is going to be a little tricky to get dialed in, to avoid an overly aggressive experience, but the ambient water temperature is not uncomfortable at all. “Positioning” is also going to be a little learning curve, as water can spray back or overshoot onto the toilet seat, if you shift just right. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase. It’s an excellent price for a very useful piece of equipment that I think everyone should have in their home. Also, the lid is a bonus in two respects.. it is soft close, and it is sturdy. It’s plastic, but not at all flimsy. I don’t know if I’d try standing on it, but you can absolutely sit on it without it buckling, bending or sliding.

  2. So far, so good. It wasn’t too bad to install. I think the worst part has been making sure of no leaks. I had to tweak multiple times to catch all the leaks and I think I’ve got it finally. So basically the initial install took about 10 to 15 minutes. But having to revisit multiple times to capture the leaks and redo the hose connections, probably added an additional hour. It’s been about 5 days, and I still don’t see any leaks. Fingers crossed it holds up. I do keep a towel and plastic tupperware below the plumbing for now – at least until I’m comfortable with knowing it’s installed okay. The product itself works really good, considering that it’s not using anything but the plumbing that goes into the toilet. It’s a pretty low profile. I first tried using the Tushy brand, which was totally not worth it. The pressure just didn’t seem strong enough and I thought it was maybe due to the water pressure in general. Well this bidet squashed that theory! The water pressure definitely was plenty! Let’s just say I get a thorough cleaning compared to the Tushy brand.I can only compare to the Tushy bidet, as that’s the only other one I tried. But by comparison, considering the price range is the same, this bidet blows Tushy’s out of the water :-)! Top it off, since it’s integrated in the toilet seat, it has a much flatter profile. Tushy’s angle the toilet seat unnaturally, whereas this keeps the toilet seat flush throughout the whole toilet rim! From the spray angle, it is much better than Tushy’s! Tushy’s literally shot a little above horizontal, add that to the poor pressure, and I really didn’t feel that clean. This, depending on which nozzle you used, almost can shoot straight upward. Add that to the stronger water pressure, and I felt even cleaner than I do after a shower!I mentioned the two nozzles. I like to use both of them. Tushy only had one crappy nozzle.I am not giving five stars because of the following:1. The build quality could be better. I am worried about how long this will last. I am a healthy, fit male – weighing about 165 pounds. But I feel like the toilet seat would eventually crack in half.2. The way the toilet seat is designed, it makes it a little more difficult to clean. I feel like water can get stuck in a lot of the cracks.3. I’m not a fan of the slow closing toilet seat. It would be perfect if they had the option to disable that. Primarily because I don’t like flushing the toilet while the toilet seat is up. I’m not a fan of poop plume. Look it up if you don’t know what it is. However I can force the seat down with little pressure. Maybe eventually it will wear out and do it automatically. So overall, I say so far, so good. I definitely would not mind paying more for a higher build quality. But for what you are paying for, this is a very good product! I recommend it with the caveat that you may have to replace it eventually.

Better choice than the Genie Bidet. Brondell Ecoseat model 101 – elongatedThis model replaced a Genie Bidet [ELONGATED] Self Cleaning Dual Nozzle installed in 2017. That Genie has several “issues”:- one of the two nozzles stopped working- the seat was uncomfortable after only a few minutes. The rear of the seat was higher than the front, so you lean forward slightly — and the sitting area sides were obviously narrower than normal.- you couldn’t lean back on the seat back because it had a sharp ridge.- the Genie seat front was nearly 1″ from the front toilet edge….The Brondell Ecoseat 101 has none of those problems.Pros:- the nozzles exterior is automatically rinsed when the dial is first turned.- both nozzles are correctly aimed and the cleaning action is effective.- the Brondell seat is level; the seating area sides are normal width; and it’s as comfortable for long periods as is a standard non-bidet seat.- the seat top looks appears as any good quality seat top and lowers itself slowly.- the control is a non-obtrusive dial. Off is in the middle.- the supplied stainless steel braided water hose, although far too long at 30″, is high quality. I’m confident that it won’t burst and flood the bathroom.Cons:- The supplied tee fitting is stainless steel, high quality, and would be fine if was to be attached to a brass, bronze, or stainless 7/8″ pipe from the toilet tank. However, if attached to the 7/8″ plastic pipe at the bottom of most toilet tanks, it “grabs” only a few threads before bottoming out; which could strip or weaken those plastic threads when tightened.Instead of that tee, I installed a Bidet Valve (search on Amazon) with a plastic nut that grabs7 threads of a 7/8″ pipe. That valve also has a lever which can shut off water to the bidet while leaving it on for the toilet (for bidet maintenance). No stars were taken off for the tee since I had planned to use a bidet valve from the outset.Other:- Turn the dial clockwise for one cleaning nozzle choice and the other way for the other cleaning nozzle. When you first turn the dial in either direction, water flows over the nozzles to clean them; next all water is routed to that nozzle, first slowly, then with force as you turn the dial all the way. I.e., you can control the water’s force by how far the knob is turned.Water pressure can also be lowered by installing a bidet valve where the water connects to the toilet and opening it partially, installing a pressure regulator on your main water line and setting it to 60 psi, or, lowering the pressure to 60 psi on the regulator you already have.- Bidet’s with a lever to control water to the nozzles might be tripped by a dog or cat when you’re not there, flooding your bathroom. Bidet’s with a round knob, such as the Brondell, don’t have that risk.- The supplied 30″ stainless steel braided hose has 3/8″ female compression fittings (3/8″ comp) at both ends; a 5/8″ open end wrench fits the nuts. 3/8″ comp is a different size than 3/8″ flare fittings and different than 3/8″ NPT (National Pipe Thread) – i.e., the threads and diameter are different. Most bath and kitchen faucets use 3/8″ comp or 1/2″ comp fitting. The Brondell web site sells “replacement hoses” – select “Swash S101/102″.- I was unable to find a shorter supply hose with a 90 degree elbow. Brondell should sell shorter supply hoses or at least a 3/8″ elbow to attach to the bidet so that standard hoses could be used.- After-market bidets are available with dual (cold and hot) water inlets and temperature control or you can get a mixing valve to temper a cold water-only supply. Neither is practical unless your hot water heater is fairly close to the bidet, since otherwise it would take too long for hot water to get there. Actually, you get used to having unheated water spraying on your backside – it isn’t an issue once you get used to it.- The seat opening is 11″ front to back (same as the Genie Bidet), versus 12″ for a standard elongated seat. (Side to side opening is about the same, 8″.) That doesn’t sound like much of a difference, but it’s noticeable, at least at first. If you want the largest possible seat opening, consider bidet’s that mount under an existing seat.- As with any product, if there is some defect, return it. E.g., some reviewers complain about the nozzle’s poor aim. Since they aren’t adjustable, send it back. Also, it is possible that too low a water pressure (if your home pressure otherwise, is OK) could be the result of a defect in the bidet’s water control valve; so return it if this happens.Install it right away, so you don’t miss the return window if there’s something wrong.Summary:The Model 101 is a solid choice for an after-market bidet, and it’s a significant step up from the Genie Bidet.

  5. Wow. I recently purchased the Brondell Bidet Toilet Seat Non-Electric Swash Ecoseat for my elongated toilet, and I must say, it has been a game-changer. The dual nozzle system offers both front and rear cleansing options, ensuring a thorough and refreshing clean every time. What sets this bidet apart is its non-electric design, which means no more worrying about power outlets near the toilet. Instead, it relies on ambient water temperature, which has been surprisingly comfortable, even in the colder months.Installation was a breeze. The included instructions were clear, and all the necessary hardware was provided. I had it up and running in no time, even with minimal plumbing experience. The Ecoseat’s white finish looks sleek and modern in my bathroom, seamlessly blending with the existing decor. The seat itself is comfortable, and the slow-closing lid is a convenient touch.Overall, the Brondell Bidet Toilet Seat Swash Ecoseat has greatly improved my bathroom experience. It’s cost-effective, easy to install, and provides a refreshing clean without the need for electricity. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their bathroom hygiene and comfort.

WOW! Where have you been all my life. I will be the first to admit, when it comes to using a Badet, I was a complete /total skeptic. The manufacturer in its description, does a good job at discussing its advantages. I installed mine on a Kolher, one piece toilet. It fit. Not much wiggle room if you know what I mean. I installed myself no troubles. You may need a longer or shorter supply hose depending on your present installation. I found my concerns using cold water supply to NOT be a problem!! Cool and clean with half the toilet paper waste!! My sound dumb, I miss my Badet when I’m using a public facilitie.Pressure ajustable control works great. Great value for the money. Only concern is durability. While plastic seat construction is OK. I feel the manufacturer should beef up the seat more. Has a bit of a “flex” getting off seat. I would highly recommend skeptics give it a wash. IMO, You will not be disappointed.

  7. Love it. Have had this installed for a few months and I love it! Doesn’t eliminate the need for TP because you still need to dry off the bits/bobs (and the underside of the seat), but you’ll use far less paper than the old way. I can see it paying for itself over the course of a year in TP savings. But the best thing about this game changer is being far cleaner with a shower-fresh feeling. As I said, LOVE IT! About my only complaint is the knob is a bit hard to turn. It’s not a problem for me but I can see older folks with joint issues may have some difficulty. That aside, I should’ve gone the bidet route years ago!

  11. Day #1 – Great quality so far. My first bidet in my home. Dedicated, replacement seat model such as this seems superior to an add-on under your existing toilet seat. The two nozzles (front or rear wash) are nicely recessed inside a shroud until water pressure activates them.Fittings and parts were high quality. My specific toilet required that it be lifted off the floor to gain access for fittings. That’s unique to my installation and a bit overkill, but I wanted to ensure no leaks or cross threading of fittings on my 15+ year old toilet in a cramped space. It is easy to do and took 20 minutes. If you do this, you’ll need a new wax seal.Once that was complete, installation was very easy. Water lines are high quality with good compression gaskets and metal fittings that properly rotate so you can orient them as you see fit.Function of the unit is very good. I like the soft, positive clicks of the knob. When you first rotate it to either front or rear it initatiates a self cleaning feature. Very nice for cleanliness of nozzles in case some splashing occured during previous use.I’ve used very expensive bidets in Tokyo and Europe. They were nice but very often a simple, reliable design is best. I don’t need heat, an air blower, or electronics that may fail. The water spray was not abrupt or jolting. I like that you can control intensity.Overall, I highly recommend. Clever design, no electronics, good quality fittings and low cost makes this a winner.

  13. My Foray into Better Quality Bidets – So Glad I Did. The Brondell Bidet Toilet Seat has been a fantastic upgrade for my bathroom and my first foray into better quality bidets. I’m thrilled with this decision!Pros:Easily installed: Installation was straightforward on my one-piece toilet, even with a raised edge between the tank and bowl. It fits perfectly!Good water pressure: The water pressure is just right, offering an effective and comfortable clean every time.Self-cleaning: The self-cleaning feature is a major plus, keeping the nozzle sanitary with minimal effort.Comfortable seat: The seat is designed for comfort, which adds to the overall great experience.Cons:Splatters during self-cleaning: The only downside is that it splatters a bit during the self-cleaning cycle, but it’s a minor inconvenience for the benefits it offers. Conclusion:This bidet is absolutely worth the extra money. I’m loving the easy personal cleanup, and I’m already planning to buy another one soon for my other bathroom. Highly recommended!

  14. Works great. I love it! I have an elongated toilet and when I first installed it it didn’t reach to the end but after adjusting the black brackets a few different ways it fits perfectly. The hole on the toilet seat is smaller than a standard one but you get used to it. I can’t tell the difference between the front wash and back wash position, Both seem to spray your bottom so you have to kind of move around to get clean. The front wash nozzle sprays painfully strong so we mostly just use back wash . It’s easy to install. Now that I have it, I don’t like using the bathroom anywhere but home. I feel so much cleaner. Love it!

  15. Great value. Would buy again. This is my first time purchasing a bidet. While there are a lot of bidets out there with various fancy features, e.g. heat/warm water, electronic controls, etc… and wondered if I would be missing out by not having those features, after purchasing and using the Brondell, I do not feel like I am missing out on anything. I also believe that keeping it simple means it will be less likely to break or fail. The bidet has one job to do and this unit does it well. It gets you clean and allows you to use less toilet paper. The interface is incredibly simple to use. Installation was a breeze and included everything you need. As for the lack of heat / warm water, this may vary from home to home, but I do not find the water cold at all. (I do keep a fairly fixed temperature on my thermostat, so I suspect my pipes do not get as cold as they otherwise could.)I will however add that my wife tried the feminine feature and found that the reach was not right for her. I can see how a woman might want one that offers more fine tuning. It is for this reason that I have given it 4 stars instead of 5. If you do not need the feminine feature, then this unit is a 5 out of 5.Aside from the feminine feature, if I could add just one thing to my wish list, it would be for a bidet seat made of ceramic/porcelain. I do not believe one exists on the market. That said, while I worried this seat would not be as comfortable or nice as the normal ceramic seat it replaces, I actually found this plastic seat to be more comfortable to sit on, such that I do not mind at all that it is plastic. The plastic does keep the cost down and means I would not worry much if it broke and needed replacing with a new unit.

  17. Easy install. Easy to clean. Performs it’s function flawlessly. PROS:-easy install (no tools required)-adjustable water pressure-cleans stubborn messes easily-front and back wash-soft close lid and seat!!!-sturdy construction-automatic nozzle clean function-great value for the price-easy to cleanCONS:- makes the toilet feel a little smaller since the bidet takes up some space at the back of the bowl (may not be suitable for some larger individuals)-nozzles aren’t adjustable so it make take some trial and error getting your body into the correct position for cleaningOVERALL:-Fantastic quality and utility for the price.- I recommend this to anyone looking for an entry level bidet.-The soft close seat and lid is absolutely a must have if you have family members that like to slam toilet lids.

  18. The product is good, but made for US market. The T pipe is 7/8,7/8,3/8 size and in the UAE you would need a 1/2,1/1,3/8. The manufacturer was contacted however no support was provided as they claimed they do not have adapters. Ended up spending a lot buying adapters from the US.

  19. I was skeptical about it…but now I will never go back. You use a fraction of the toilet paper you would normally use. Excellent for those with a septic tank. You will always feel shower clean. Was concerned that it’s made of plastic but it’s pretty strong. If it doesn’t fit the way you like the positioning front to back of bowl, is adjustable because of the bracket that holds the lid in place. It comes with everything you need to install and it’s super easy to do so.

  20. Excellent water force, easy cleaning use and a bargain for top quality product. This Bidet toilet seat is worth the price – a bargain! It is excellent and performs incredibly well. It is easy to install (15 minutes). The force of the water pressure is exceptional. It makes me wonder why I waited so long to buy a bidet seat.I give it an unqualified endorsement. If you want a sleek, easy to use and exceptional bidet seat – this is the one!I give is 5 stars, easily
