A must for the curls. If you have curly hair, this is a must. My hair goes from frizzy to lush after applying this. I use it every day, but can be refreshed by just wetting your hair the next day. I like the scent and have gotten complements on it. I love the softness of my hair after using this. Not like other products that are sticky and make your hair hard in order to hold the curls. Believe me I need some hold if not I have an afro but this holds my curls while leaving them soft and not crunchy.
Time is everything. If you’re end result is “greasy, weighed down” hair,you’re rushing through the process.I have naturally white-gray, top of your belt hair that’s permed. High end, exclusive salon productswe’re not giving me the conditioning or protectionmy hair needed.After shampooing and conditioning, as per product directions, I rubbed a “generous” amount (maybe a tablespoon) between my hands, and distributed roots to end. Take your time! You can feel where the product is. Then I gently “comb” threw with my fingers. A LOT, before combing threw with wide tooth, wooden comb.After my hair is about 80-90% dry I use sparing amounts with just my finger tips, to twist threw small sections. When I’m done, I work a small amount into just my ends. When it’s dry, I moisten my hands with a dab and scrunch.My hair isn’t greasy or weighed down. It’s soft, nofrizz, with defined curl.At night I sleep on a satin pillow case and scarf my head, which is a game changer.I’ll never go back to salon exclusive products.I use Shea Moisture for all my hair care and styling needs. Will buy again. My hair feels very healthy and moisturized every time I use it. Also it disentangles my hair when I comb it all you need is a little portion or else your hair will be greasy.
Soft and smells like cocoa butter. I’m a nut for anything peppermint- that and lavender are my go to scents for soaps, lotion and sprays. So I got this thinking it would smell very peppermint-y. It doesn’t, but it instead smells almost like chocolate and makes my blonde curly (color treated) hair soft and fluffy. It took some trial and error getting it so my hair wasn’t overly conditioned-a little goes a long way & I have started doing deep conditioning 2x a week instead of regular conditioner more frequently. Definitely recommend this for curly dry hair- it’s very light and creamy to apply, and the price is better than a lot of the other brands. I feel good putting this in my hair- good quality non harsh ingredients
Great product. I bought this product because I heard it’s really good for low porosity hair and overall a great product and I agree. It makes my hair soft and moisturized. In my opinion, the black castor oil smell is not that strong but I can see how someone may not like the smell so be aware of the because it does linger on my hair for some days.

Too thick and heavy for fine hair. This leave-in seems nice but it’s too heavy for fine and/or thin hair. It made my hair very greasy, even when I apply it. It did leave my hair soft and the scent is nice but yeah, not the best for fine hair.

It’s good for my hair. Using this product, along with some hair oil made it so that my hair that came off on the edges of my hair in the front grew back. Wigs pulled out my hair. I believe this is a good product.
