Great for trips. I bought these after researching “best shoe for travel” for a two week trip to England, and they delivered! I wore them going up and down stairs on old ships like HMS Victory, traverse uneven terrain in castle ruins, walk sandy and pebble beaches, hike some rugged English countryside, and explore old cobblestone city centers, you name it, and they held up well in all of them, plus they look good enough for all but the most high end places. We also had a couple of long 14 hour days and my feet did not feel sore when I took these off in the evenings.Water resistance is good. We had some rainy days and my socks stayed dry, even during some heavier rain spells.I don’t usually go for slip ons but these felt snug and comfortable, and the soles can easily handle most terrain and wet/slippery surfaces. There is not enough support to tackle technical trails in these, but for most “vacation activities” these shoes are all you’ll need.If you’re looking for one pair of shoes to take that are reasonably priced, I highly recommend these.

  2. My 3rd pair. As stated, I own 3 pair , in various colors. Don’t let the suede look fool you, they are really tough and stand up well to average stains. Very cleanable when I do manage to get them dirty, just warm wash rag and usually that’s all. I’m working in retail in a big box wearhouse type store and I’m on my feet a lot and wouldn’t be without my jungle mocs. Lots of compliments too. I even use my oldest pair as yard shoes for everything from pushing lawnmowers and weedeaters to cutting trees with a chainsaw and they are hanging tough.

  3. Superior Garden and on the go Shoes. I like Keen shoes. I usually buy them for my “main” utility brown shoe. My old pair got worn out, mostly due to wearing them for my around the house gardening and pool cleaning. So I needed a new pair of brown shoes, that can take me from yard maintenance to Home Depot runs and even walk around for Sunday brunches. Doing my usual research, I came accross these Merrills. True to the reviews and the appearance, these are my new go-to around the house/gardening shoes. Nice snug fit, real leather uppers that can take dirt and getting wet and still look really nice when making runs for groceries or house supplies. I really like the curved bottom sole, which keeps me glued to the ground whether wet or in dirt, and is high enough to sink into the dirt without compromising letting water/moisture getting into the shoes. And look at the pricing! Excellent value for the money – about US $40 at the time of this writting, compared to other shoes – like the Keens – which easily can run twice as much. Highly flexable in use, highly recommended!

  4. For $40 they are are nice. I got these shoes on sale for $40. For that price, I recommend them. They are pretty comfortable, supportive, water/rain resistant and slip on and off pretty easily. They are definitely not non-slip. I know the product doesn’t claim to be non-slip but I’m just saying, we have a slick patch at work that is a good indicator for well working non-slip shoes and these ones do get slick. For your everyday terrain they do just fine. In my opinion they are a little heavy but that doesn’t bother me. It’s worth the quality of the shoe. I would not pay more than $60 for these shoes though just because they are basic. I have pretty good luck with shoe sizes, I can almost always grab 10 in women’s or 8.5 in men’s, such as these and they’ll fit. These fit great with an easy on and off.

  5. Very, very nice. I generally don’t get excited about purchasing shoes, but I had to write about these Merrell Jungle Slip-ons. The Merrell’s are super comfortable, easy to slip on with no hands, and easy to take off. These shoes fit snug and have a surprisingly rigid platform which is great for people like me who suffer from bad arches on their feet. I highly recommend these shoes.
