  1. Easy to use, makes delicious bread when recipe done right. I’m so glad that I bought this when they were selling out quickly due to the Covid19 crisis. I’ve made about a half dozen or so loaves of bread in the past three weeks and overall have had excellent results. First, I saw several reviews that said the bread maker didn’t come with a paddle. I thought the same thing at first – please note the paddle is taped to the inside of a cardboard piece that protects the inside of the maker from scratching. They should make this more obvious as I can see how people could overlook it and accidentally throw it away.On to the maker’s attributes, it has a nice look to it on the counter and it is compact enough that I don’t mind leaving it out 24/7 in my smallish kitchen. I will note that I have NOT used the recipes in the book that came with it. They seemed a bit fussy and with no reviews on the recipes themselves I didn’t trust them. I bought a couple of bread machine bread cookbooks that were recommended to me – in particular the Bread Lovers Bread Machine Cookbook. I’ve also found recipes on King Arthur flour’s website. For those that are having trouble with the bread machine making loaves properly, I suppose it could be the bread maker malfunctioning, but I imagine it may be more likely that people are not measuring correctly or putting the ingredients in the machine in the right order. For my first loaf I knew I overmeasured the water just a bit but figured no biggie it will be more moist. Nope – it was too airy (but still pretty good)! Next time I did the same recipe and was more precise on my measuring and it was perfect! Another time my bread didn’t rise properly and was dense but I didn’t blame the bread machine – I know I messed up that time because it was honey bread and I forgot to put the honey in with the liquid ingredients before the flour was added so I ended up putting the honey on last which I’m sure messed up the yeast activity. That bread however was still good and edible just too dense. The other tip I’ll give is to make sure to measure flour properly. I didn’t realize this was an issue for so many people but all of the flour books stress this point so also make sure you know how to measure flour without packing it. If there is way too much flour I’m sure the bread won’t turn out. Conversely, the bread books tell you that if your dough is too moist during the mixing process, that you should add flour during the machines’ kneading process. During my very first loaf I could tell it was likely too moist through the window but I was too scared to interfere with the process. On my last loaf I made which was a Hawaiian sweet bread I could tell it was too moist so I added flour every couple of minutes during the second knead until it made a smoother dough ball that held together. The bread turned out delicious! In summary, do your research on how to optimize the results you get from your bread machine and enjoy your baking process and results!!

Best breadmaker in this price range. I LOVE this bread machine! I’ve had a half-dozen breadmakers over the years, including the more expensive but inferior CBK-200 over the past 5 years, and this CBK-110 is simply the best I’ve used. The consistency, ease-of-use, ease-to-clean, flavor, size, and control panel are the best around. The CBK-200 ALWAYS overcooks everything, every time, and required you to use the “Light Crust Color” setting every time to keep from burning or drying out the bread. While it did a good job on the light setting, this didn’t allow a lot of flexibility with different recipes, so it was extremely limiting. It was also extremely loud, and the pan seal wore down quickly. While the CBK-200 did have a better pan shape (horizontal instead of vertical), it still had the same size paddle as the CBK-110, so it never really kneaded correctly like the CBK-110 does. The vertical pan of the CBK-110 takes some getting used to, because the bread shape makes for some awkward slicing dimensions. The 1.5 lb. loaves I was used to before produce some weird slice sizes and shapes out of the CBK-110, so I’ve found the 1.0 lb. and 2.0 lbs. to be better settings, since these can be sliced in a more “normal” size and aspect ratio. Maybe just my personal preference, but something to keep in mind.I’ve used this machine several times now, and the only negative I have really found so far is the annoying “Add-Ins” beeps. Even though the instruction booklet claims it beeps “5 times” to alert you to add your add-ins, in reality it beeps in 4 SETS of 5 beeps, so 20 beeps total. And unlike the CBK-200, there doesn’t seem to be any way to disable these beeps or even turn them off once they start beeping. I’ve tried the Start/Stop button, +/-, opening/closing to no avail. It’s going to beep 20 times at the Add-Ins mark, no matter what you do. Annoying, but I can live with it.That’s really it. Everything else I love about this machine. It’s almost half the size and weight of the CBK-200 and a little smaller than most of the other machines in this price range, which is great because most breadmakers are just too big by design. This one is perfect.I cannot say enough about this machine, how great it is. I have baked hundreds of loaves of bread in machines over the years, and this is simply the best. Everything I have baked so far has turned out perfectly. In every other machine I’ve owned, there were always nuances and hiccups about the machine that you had to alter recipes to account for. But this machine works perfectly with off-the-shelf recipe books.Great job, Cuisinart. Too bad you went backwards with the CBK-200. You should have just stuck with the CBK-110 technology and improved on it.

Worth every penny. This is not my first bread maker but it is quickly becoming my favorite. I just made my first batch of dinner rolls using the dough feature. I followed the instructions carefully and loaded in the correct order as the manual instructs and the dough was perfect in every way. My dinner rolls came out perfect in every way the flavor was amazing. Much better than the frozen rolls I had been purchasing at the grocery store. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. The exterior color is perfect and goes well with the other appliances in my kitchen. I will use this on a regular basis for sure! Hello homemade and goodbye store brands!

  4. Great bread machine for the price. I use this machine at least once a week to make my own bread and for the most part it works great, particularly on the 1.5 lb loafs. The crust does get a little hard and thick, but maybe that’s just how homemade bread is. I like knowing what ingredients I am eating and I don’t trust store bought bread that never grows mold…it goes against nature. This is why I love this bread machine. I have learned by trial and error that you must use exact measurements and most recipes you should use the exact ingredients. My favorite so far is beer bread and honey whole wheat bread. I have read where this machine falls off the counter but I have never had that issue. I would buy this as a gift for people, that’s how much I like it.

  5. Makes great French Bread. Made French bread 2 times and turned out delicious every time. The top crust could be a little dark but that doesn’t affect the taste. I like the size of the Crusinart machine. It’s not big and bulky. Doesn’t take up too much counter space and easy to store away.

  6. Easy to Make Healthier Bread. So far, this bread maker has been a joy to use. If you follow the directions, you can’t miss. Add the ingredients, press a button, and you have bread in a few hours. I’ve attached a picture of organic whole wheat and oat bread that I made today – delicious! I love making healthier bread for my family!

  7. Great for making dough. The bread baking function isn’t great but it gets the job done. The crust could be better. But I like both the regular dough function and the artisan dough function. Takes much of the work out of good bread making. Just don’t use the recipes in the manual. There are much better recipes online.

  8. This worked really well for us right out of the box. The flour loaves have been nicely formed and perfectly baked. We baked a gluten-free loaf which wasn’t so well formed, but gluten-free baking is quite a challenge and we can’t blame the machine. We haven’t used the timer function. We used it twice to make sure it worked all right before giving it to our daughter for her birthday. She and her family have used it numerous times since, and are very happy with it.

  9. Be more furgile April 1, 2024 at 12:00 am

Easy to use and quiet. Comes with a recipe book or you can use your own recipes or from other magazines and recipe books. We made a few loafs so far and they’ve turned out great. Loaves are wider but shorter from the store bought loaves unless you’re buying your bread from a bake shop. Mixes the dough well and the buzzer or alarm is not overly loud. Some recipes call for adding further ingredients to the bread after it’s risen nuts or fruit for example. You have numerous settings for different types of bread. One thing to note when you register your bread maker it takes you to the American site. The American site will not accept the Canadian postal code. We finally ended up calling the Canadian number for Cuisinart to register the bread maker. They simply said to keep a copy of your receipt from the Canadian Amazon website should you have a problem. We printed it to have a hard copy. Machine is working great and we’ve never experienced any issues with other Cuisinart appliances we’ve purchased in the past.

  10. Compact & Easy to use. I’m used to making my own bread but I’m really burnt out on keeping up with homemade sandwich bread. I hadn’t used a bread machine since I was a kid. That old bread machine used to hop around the counter while kneading. It eventually hopped off the counter and tragically ended its bread making career. This was a much more pleasant experience. This machine is not only cute and compact, its very stable. I was able to make a delicious 2lb loaf of white bread. The crust was perfectly crisp/chewy while the middle was light and fluffy. The bread is still fresh and delicious the next day. This little guy is a keeper!
