Excellent for edging. I love this shovel. Does perfect for edging and scraping up overgrown grass from my driveway. Very sturdy and easy to grab. Highly recommend.
A very fussy man loves it. My husband really likes the spade in every way, especially for edging, Our landscaper didn’t edge my front lawn straight so my very fussy perfectionist husband went outside and had a ball, I highly recommend it, if it works for him I suspect it would work for anyone.
Heavy duty. I like it. Used it to cut up new bamboo growth. It pretty sharp. I did find a similar one for a lower price locally but I prefer Fiskars branded garden tools.
High quality shovel at a good price. Love this shovel, it’s extremely well-made, as you’d expect from Fiskars, the welds are strong, the paint is high quality, the blade is extremely durable, it’s ergonomical with a great handle, have used it for rocks, gravel, grass removal, hole digging, it performs like a champ, very satisfied!
If I could marry a garden implement, it would be this one. This shovel is amazing. It’s strong, uncomplicated, and clever. I edged my lawn in a snap, used it to dig a hole for a pond, and dug up some invasives without worrying that it would bend or break. The edge is sharp and cuts through turf like a hot knife through butter. I like the big handle and the platform to step on is a nice size. I’m finding all kinds of jobs for it. A very useful tool and worth the cost.
Does well what I bought it for. I needed a shovel to excavate my grass so that I could put in a garden. With a lot of manual labor, this is the right shovel for the job. It does it better than other shapes of shovels I tried. Its flat edge cuts grass like lasagna into manageable squares and, with some effort, scoops the sod up as I transition from vertical cuts to horizontal scraping of the earth. It cuts through the roots with some effort. I’ve owned it for a couple of months, so I can’t speak about its durability over time. So far, the quality of its construction has impressed me. I’ve used it enough to find it sturdy in how it’s built. If I’m wrong in the long term, I’ll amend my comments.

A Solid Edging Shovel with Some Room for Improvement. I recently purchased this edging shovel and have been using it to tidy up my lawn and garden. Overall, I’m pleased with its performance, but I do want to share some observations to help set realistic expectations.First, the shovel and its packaging arrived in good condition, with the tool well-protected from damage during shipping. Well built. I was looking for a nice sturdy, but light square shovel, and this met my expectations. For the price, I couldn’t beat it. I put it to use the day I got it and it was perfect. It functioned as intended and for its size, the value was great. Exceeded my expectations. It wasn’t huge and heavy. Perfect size.
