Amazing Customer Service, great product, needs a tweek for perfect. I ordered these after trying an off brand on Amazon. The off brand was adequate but had a lot of sound bleed.When I received my first pair of Shokz Open Runs they were AWESOME. extremely light, flexible, comfortable, I could wear all day without a headache, sounded great, and battery lasted ALL DAY!!!These were my go to headset for about two months. One day they bugged out and started triggering my hands free assistant. After charging them overnight, as I usually do, they were unresponsive. The warranty claim was easy to initiate but was overall slower than expected turn around time. About fourish weeks from starting a claim to receiving a new headset. Still, receiving a new headset was a plus.Used my replacement headset for about two weeks and the very same thing happened again.Called the warranty number and talked to a real person in Texas. I explained and he asked me how long I charge the unit for. I responded overnight. He said thats probably why they keep shorting out….What? Its 2023. I havent had to time how long I charge something since I was a child and bought my toys at Radio Shack back in 1980. He told me it takes 2-3 hours to charge completely. Anything more may damage the battery. I asked is there no battery overcharge protection built into a $130 pair of headphones and he said no.Seriously good customer service experience overall but the product itself is lacking in durability. I don’t have the time or brain power to remember to take a pair of headphones off the charger before they get damaged. After going over the included instructions, I can find no mention of charging times, however I do see operating temperatures and environments appropriate to its use. As seen in the photo, it states 32°-113°F. I work outside, in hot muggy Missouri,I sweat, profusely. I guess if you plan on sweating, don’t use these outside in the summer, or winter, and plan your day around babysitting the charging of your headset, these might be the headset for you.I am returning mine for a refund. I hate giving low star rating. However no amount of customer service or usability can out weigh durability and an obvious flaw. I have hafld dozens of BT headsets from $-$$$. All of which have lasted years, charging overnight or longer. Please fix this issue and I would repurchase and give 6 stars if I could.UPDATEAbout two days after i emailed the company for an exchange (the refund window closed at 45 days) i was emailed a return lable. Less than a week after I made the phone call mentioned above, I received a replacement (and then some) in the mail. The product may have an issue but the 100% customers experience really does make up for the inconvenience. Keep innovative and refining your product, keep your A+ customer service, and you will dominate the wireless sound market.

I’ll start by saying if you only want to listen to music, or you don’t really need, or care about the ‘open ear’ feature then these are not for you. You can buy earphones with much better sound for less than half the price. Music just sounds a bit flat.However for me this product really changed everything for me when listening to podcasts/audiobooks (and occasionally a bit of music). I can comfortably wear them all day long without discomfort or the claustrophobic feeling i get after a couple of hours of wearing over ear, or silicone plug type headphones. With the added benefit of having your hearing unaffected, which i really prefer when out and about. I’ve even come to prefer listening to podcasts/audiobooks at home with these rather than my sonos system.Of course they aren’t going to be great in very noisy environments, and they don’t go super loud. At max volume I find they vibrate slightly too which is a bit uncomfortable. Also, in a very quiet room someone sitting next to you will be able to just start to hear them at about half volume.For me these are very minor caveats to what is a game changing product for podcasts/audiobooks.

Great for working out, music, phone. I’m actually on my second pair of these after somehow losing my first pair. I love them! I had been looking for a good set of phones for the gym. I don’t like ear buds (or anything that goes in my ear) and the over the ear headphones just never were secure enough. Enter these little guys. They’re perfect. The sound clarity is excellent, but they don’t completely block out all external sounds. And even though they don’t cover your ears, external noise isn’t as distracting as you might think.The fit is wonderful. The bar goes behind your head and the ear pieces go over your ear while the ‘receivers’ press against your jaw bone. While that might sound a bit weird, they’re actually very comfortable. And the sound quality is great. Be warned that if you listen to loud music with much bass, the buds will vibrate and for me, it’s an odd tickle. Other than that, music sounds great. Phone use is seamless. Incoming and outgoing calls route through the headset and the sound quality is excellent. These are a great option for someone who wants a quality, comfortable, multipurpose headset.

Produto bom para quem precisa ouvir música sem perder o que está acontecendo ao redor. Os headphones de um modo geral deixa a pessoa meio fora de órbita porque não se ouve nada o que se passa no mundo, bem diferente com esse produto. A qualidade do som não me parece muito boa em relação aos headphones convencionais, mas vale a pena

Awesome concept and best customer support ever. I originally had the Trekz unit (which is still working perfectly after many years of use), I love it and I was excited to finally see a nice design update, especially with the option to have a shorter frame, which was something that annoyed me on the Trekz.I did have a power problem on the OpenRun after 8 months of use and I can honestly say I have never experienced such a good customer support ever!!!… I had a reply within 2 days and my problem was fixed quasi immediately. This is of immense value for me and the clear effort from the brand to put out a great product and a great brand experience compels me to take the time to write this extensive review as a shout out for the Shokz team, so below is what I want to say about the product itself (and I know it’s gonna sound like a paid review but it’s not… 🙂 )Things I can’t stand with earbuds in general are:1- the lack of comfort induced by having the bud in the ear for an extended period of time2- poor battery times and poor sound quality due to the earbud size format2- How cumbersome the charge case is in a pocket and the need to carry it all the time for the times when the buds need to be removedThe Shokz address all these issues because their architecture give them a little more volume to embark higher capacity batteries and better speakers. They can be used so comfortably for hours and whenever somebody talks to me, I can quickly drop the buds on my neck, which generally a very convenient way to carry them around, without being bulky and cumbersome like headphones.I want to say that they offer more awareness of the environment from not obstructing the ear canal but the sound can be so full (at least the way I use them 🙂 ), that they can just as easily prevent hearing sounds from the outside. Still what is for sure is that it’s gotta be healthier to use bone conduction than shoving a foreign object in the ear canal all the time, especially with the effects of noise cancellation.Next improvements that I look forward to from the Shokz team:1- a longer charging cable, especially as they use a proprietary magnetic connector that you can’t easily replace with another cable (I mean, seriously guys, what were you thinking with a cord that short….).2- an even more discreet frame, I’m thinking transparent plastic here…I hope this review will be helpful

Amazing fit for smaller heads. I have to wear child size glasses because my head is so small, and my ears are so small that I have a hard time keeping any kind of earbud in my ear. But I also have a lot of piercings on my ears which made it difficult to wear over ear headphones. My husband suggested I try bone conduction headphones.I had ordered a cheaper pair ($20ish) to try before I bought these, just to make sure they were going to work for what I needed before I spent a ton of money. I liked the sound quality of the first pair, but they were way too big for my head, the speakers didn’t sit flush against my face, so I went in search of a smaller pair and found these.These work so amazingly, and they’re so comfortable I forget I even have them on. I wear them roughly 8 to 12 hours a day and the battery lasts a very long time. I don’t really listen to music so I can’t speak on that, but I have used it to watch movies and YouTube, listen to audiobooks and podcasts, etc and they have been great. Even while using a power sander, I put in ear plugs and these headphones and could still hear my audiobook over the sound of the sander.Obviously they’re not as travel friendly as a pair of airpods or Galaxy buds, but I took them on a trip over the weekend and had no trouble. They are a little difficult to wear when laying down but I was able to sleep in the car while wearing them. Also I love the texture of the finish on them.They are so great that I really wish I had bought two pair when they were on sale for Black Friday, so I could have a pair for work, and a pair to listen to audiobooks when I go to bed. But I will say that after trying them, I would have paid full price for these and I may end up buying a second pair anyway. If you have a lot of trouble wearing other types of headphones, these just might be the solution.

Excellent buy, with the money. Love these. It’s my third pair. First pair died before the year end, was replaced without question by the warranty. Yes the warranty is 2 years full replacement so keep your reciept. My second pair, seems intermittent but I think I figured out the problem. User error. (Not being placed on my ears correctly, i.e. further forward than usual like in my side burns and muffled by my hair). None the less, despite that, I wear them daily. Comfortable, sound quality is excellent, and is even better if I wear ear plugs. Bluetooth connection is simple. Battery life is dependent upon how loud your volume is while listening to music, pod casts etc. I can usually get bettee than 12 hours or more on a single charge. I work in construction, so they are safe to use in environments where you have to be watchful of equipment, personnel all while speaking with project managers etc. Most construction sites dont allow those you wear in-ear buds but these are an open ear design so its acceptable. The Design is great, durability is excellent, they are light weight, so comfortable I’m able to wear them all day (15 hours plus). Great buy, great design, well worth the money.
