Way better than using the stove. It’s a skill to be able to make perfect eggs on the stove. With this little gadget, just pierce the eggs with the needle and add water. The machine cooks the eggs perfectly and shuts off when it’s done so you don’t overdo it.

  2. Cooks ok, cleans so so. Following the graduated cup, the eggs came out as desired. I didn’t like the aftercare. Water stain/film on stainless plate after use is not easy to remove. I had top use a cleanser (Bar Keeper’s).Erased measurements?•Hard 1-4 = 63 ml•Hard 5-7 = 60 ml•Medium 1-4 = 40 ml•Medium 5-7 = 30 ml•Soft 1-4 = 30 ml•Soft 5-7 = 15 ml

  3. nice. Make great poached eggs and soft boiled eggs, that’s all I’ve tried but I’m sure it’ll work on vegetables and sausage as well

  4. Works great. Was very fast and easy to use. Too many directions just plug it in and use.

  5. Must Work With It. I purchased this to make poached eggs. Everyone in the family wants their eggs cooked differently. I have made poached eggs three times and boiled eggs once thus far. The measurement on the cup didn’t create the poached eggs I was hoping for. I wanted medium eggs. I went to all extremes from very soft to hard-cooked. lol I marked the cup each time so now I know how much water for each type of egg. When I made the boiled eggs I wanted them hard but not so overdone that they had that green ring around the yolk. I went a little less than the cup called for to make hard eggs and they were perfect. It works great but does require some tinkering.

  6. Low watt, portable, and a real time saver. This thing works great, and its price point is extremely competitive. Having stated these key facts at the outset, here’s another important reason I chose mine over its competitors. It’s probably not the reason you’re considering this appliance, but I think it might intrigue you to consider the possibilities outside of its obvious features. Recently, I’ve become focused on the consumption of watts when it comes to my appliances. My focus on watts is not about saving money or the environment. It’s about my freedom to enjoy comfort wherever I am. That’s right, it’s about freedom in my mobility without sacrificing certain creature comforts. So, when I came upon this 300-watt multi-purpose cooking appliance I realized had even greater potential I took note. Comically, like a lot of people, I’ve also recently become intrigued by the prospect of using portable batteries for purposes of convenient cooking, while physically in unconventional places outside of my home. So this appliance met its potential in two of my interest areas, serving to distract me from my otherwise dull and meaningless life. Having cooking appliances that function off-grid is something that presents an ideal level of freedom for any extremely mobile human like me, without sacrificing the creature comforts of ordinary civilization. After spending a good part of my life traveling by land, sea, and air for work, then arriving to work in some unforgivingly remote environment all by myself, over time I learned the value of being conveniently equipped as it directly corresponded to my well-being, not just to my comfort. Rather than preparing and cooking meals like a caveman, I’ve always sought alternatives, since my diet was essential to good health, which in turn, was essential to my safety in those remote places. Most often, I was wholly self-reliant in these remote environments in the past. Now in my golden years, I’m traveling for fun. Using the same transportation and vehicles as before for work, I still spend much time on the road, then off-road, or off-off road. I am always transported by vehicles designed for the terrain, vehicles not exactly designed for remote living, and which can travel to more than a few places a typical RV could not. Only in most recent years has reality become for me, “I’m home wherever I am.” I’ve learned to live as a nomad but to do so mostly in comfort. I use this specific appliance on a 300-watt River 2 to boil eggs, steam vegetables, poach eggs, reheat, and in a pinch serve as a tiny slow hotplate/warmer. Cleanup is a snap. And for those of you having a good chuckle about an old man boiling eggs out in the middle of the Great Basin desert, for your information, while out there I also surf the internet and watch streaming movie channels too, sometimes inside of my solar-panel-powered, air-conditioned tent space, with its four-inch memory foam mattress, desk, chair, remote kitchen, dining space, and 24″ TV. I also have a portable hot water induction shower, as well as two solar panels and a small trolling motor’s lithium battery to sustain my portable freezer/fridge, altogether weighing less than 50 pounds. The fridge holds food like eggs, and frozen items for one person, for at least two weeks, but unlike coolers, the battery keeps it running all the time wherever it goes. I go where my backcountry vehicles can take me, but I eat and prepare regular food. I have grown less fond of primitive camping through the years, especially of sleeping on the ground and eating unhealthy foods, and so recent leaps of technology have enabled many new remote creature comforts. To me, having low-watt, realistically battery-capable, and/or solar appliances and modern conveniences, enables me to enjoy living in such a way as my moving to my ideal remote environment, but doing so with minimal disruption to my comfort or routine. For the time being the key to all of that for me is energy efficiency, so this little gadget fully fits a versatile bill. While this might be the strangest egg cooker review you’ll ever read, in the right hands this little egg cooker is a low-watt, lightweight, cooking dynamo. As for its battery consumption, like all heating appliances, it starts high and then drops for the longest part of the timed cooking duration. The cooking cycle for boiled eggs is the same on AC or battery, about 20 minutes. Closed dome the appliance consumes 287 watts peak, 48 to 96 varying average. On a basic, fully charged, pure sine wave, 300-watt battery source, it will consume about 36% per closed dome, 20-minute cycle, providing 2 to 3 full uses before full battery depletion. If you’re only looking for a great little lightweight and effortless way to boil eggs, this appliance does that exceedingly well too. I highly recommend it.

So, grab your whisks, embrace the yolk, and let the BELLA help you paint your mornings with delicious egg-xcitement!***Now for a quick story***News from Lake Woe-Be-Gone: The Day a Fancy Gadget Cracked Open Tradition (and Whisked Miss Myra to Victory)Folks, it was a Tuesday as grey as Mrs. Grumples’ hair dye after a spilled pot of blueberry jam, the drizzle clinging to the church steeple like a damp dishcloth on Grandpa Nordin’s beard. Even Colonel Cluckers, that rooster of hers with a voice like a foghorn stuck on “oompa,” sounded muted by the gloom. But hold on to your mittens, because this wasn’t just any old Tuesday, no sir. This was the Great Lake Woe-Be-Gone Egg Bake Extravaganza, a competition fiercer than a curling match on black ice and about as slippery when it comes to judging – remember Mildred Grumples’ year of the mystery duck eggs? Scandalous, I tell you, scandalous! Now, city slickers might think eggs are just breakfast fodder, but in Lake Woe-Be-Gone, they’re practically sacred. We whisper family recipes for lefse like top-secret government codes, and treat perfectly boiled beauties with the reverence of Pastor Inculet before a Sunday sermon. Every kitchen boasts its own eggcellent method, from Mrs. Flibble’s devilish little devils with their paprika wings to Old Man McGregor’s one-eyed-pirate potato salad studded with green olives (rumor has it he hides a single, perfectly round hard-boiled egg in the depths of that concoction, though nobody’s ever found it – yet!).The town square crackled with excitement thicker than homemade gravy as villagers hauled out their culinary creations. Mayor Goodnough, sporting an apron the color of a sunrise yolk, surveyed the scene with a twinkle in his eye like a kid spotting a nickel on the sidewalk. Mrs. Peeters, our ever-efficient judge, fussed over her clipboard, a ruler tucked in her pocket like a knight’s trusty sword. Even Whiskers, the library cat usually more interested in dust bunnies than delicacies, emerged from his usual nap nook, lured by the siren song of simmering yolks, and melted cheese. And then there was Miss Myra, a quiet lady with a secret weapon tucked under her arm – a sleek, modern BELLA Rapid Egg Cooker, gleaming like a chrome spaceship in the grey sky. Whispers and raised eyebrows followed her like tumbleweeds in a dust storm, “Fancy contraptions,” they muttered, “betraying tradition.” But Miss Myra, calm as a freshly set custard, ignored them. She knew what she had – a tool to take her already legendary meringue clouds to new heights, higher than the Lutheran church steeple even on a clear day. With practiced precision, as delicate as a ballerina on ice, she whisked her egg whites to peaks so airy they could waltz with angels. Then, with a reverence fit for a queen, she placed the fluffy meringue in the BELLA’s steamer tray. The machine hummed to life, and a hush fell over the crowd as thick as fog on the lake. They watched, transfixed, as the BELLA worked its magic. And what magic it was! Those egg whites, lighter than dandelion fluff and kissed by the scent of spring lilacs, morphed into clouds straight out of a fairy tale, their edges ruffled like angel wings. The aroma that wafted from the machine was an intoxicating symphony of sweetness and floral fragrance, enough to make your grandma rethink her store-bought meringues and take up whisking again. When Miss Myra presented her creation, the judges were speechless. Those meringue clouds melted on their tongues like snowflakes on a warm cheek, the lilac essence dancing on their palates like fireflies in a twilight meadow. Mayor Goodnough, a man who swore by Mrs. Flibble’s deviled eggs (though I once saw him eyeing her potato salad with suspicion), couldn’t resist stealing a second helping. The air crackled with whispers of “brilliant,” “unbelievable,” and even a grudging “not bad, for a fancy contraption.”Miss Myra, with a modest smile and a twinkle brighter than the BELLA’s indicator light, had done more than win the Extravaganza. She’d shown that tradition and innovation could waltz hand-in-hand, that even the sky’s the limit when it comes to eggs and the creativity they inspire. And as the sun peeked through the clouds, casting a golden glow on the remnants of the competition, one thing was clear: in Lake Woe-Be-Gone, even the simplest egg held a universe of possibilities, waiting to be whisked, steamed, and savored, with or without a fancy gadget from the big city. So, there you have it, folks, another tale from the land of lutefisk and lefse, where eggs reign supreme and even the drizziest Tuesday can be brightened by a cloud of meringue and a touch of magic. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a date with a deviled egg and a tall glass of milk. You’re all invited, of course, just bring your appetites and perhaps a healthy dose of skepticism, just in case Old Man McGregor tries to convince you he actually found that hard-boiled egg.

  10. Decent job. It does a great job hard boiling . I didn’t pierce the eggs prior. The only flaw I see is I wish the side handles were longer so it would be an easier transfer to a cold bath. But the shells peel easily and eggs are well done. I haven’t tried the other opinions to make different style of eggs- i.e boiled or scrambled.

  12. Easy instruction, just takes minute, easy to read instructions. Very good product for fast food, to pass food and a reasonable time with great taste

  13. Great Gadget. bought his for my dad for his birthday and he loves it!!! he uses it almost every morning. he likes that he can make hard boiled eggs, poached eggs or even a small omelette. great price point and extremely easy to use. great item bc you can make more than one thing and no need to turn on a stove. great idea to give to older folks and even young kids who can’t have certain kitchen appliances in the dorm rooms

  15. Very simple to use. The product works well and is much faster than getting a whole pot of water to a boil which means less water use too. Egg smell while cooking carried by steam seems to intensify the odor but it’s not that overwhelming. We used it to make soft boiled eggs and they came out perfectly done. However, we used it to make them again and did not remove the eggs immediately from the cooker and they continued to cook until they were hard boiled (still ate them though 🙂). It shuts off automatically and has an audible ring sound when cooking cycle is complete. It’s nice that you can choose up to 7 eggs for full steaming capacity or just do 1 egg for a quick snack. Easy clean up and all the parts stack and store inside the lid when you store it away.

  17. Easy way to cook eggs. Works like a charm. Cooks well, dont gave to turn the stove on. Steams the poached eggs great.

  18. Works great. Splendid & inexpensive device, and makes lovely fluffy, small 2-egg omelettes, though I found I needed significantly more water than it says to cook it. Just mix two eggs, a few very small cubes of ham & onion, salt & pepper, top with a small amount of grated cheese and let ‘er go. Makes great poached eggs and of course soft or hard boiled.Turns itself off once the water is gone, but one thing that could be better is if it was a soft switch rather than a mechanical rocker switch, so you didn’t have to remember to flip it off before putting it away. Also would be nice if it had a bell to signal when done.

  19. Added to our Cupboard of Little Appliances. This was fun! After reading the instructions I loaded in the water and 7 eggs and 20 minutes later, voila! I had perfect hard boiled eggs. It was easy to use, stores neatly with our compact DASH Waffle Iron, and DASH Mini Maker Electric Round Griddle. I didn’t realize DASH had a similar egg cooker, but this one is just fine. Cooking mini is easy and fun with these small helpers!

  20. Works great. Very easy to use and quicker than using the stove. Eggs come out perfect every time. It’s small and easy to store away.
