Turtle Beach Recon Air Wireless Gaming Chat Communicator for PS5, PS4, iOS, Android, Windows 10 & 11 PCs, & Bluetooth Mobile Devices with Noise – Cancelling Mic – Black
Decent Headset for a Decent Price. This headset works well, I use it phonecalls/meetings on my work PC. It’s a very simple sturdy design, conformable and very lightweight. The biggest flaw would be that microphone is pretty quiet, I have the input turned all the way up on windows and any application I use. It is only really a problem if the person on the other side has their output volume really low. I like that it has simultaneous connection to your phone and PC. It gives the USB connection priority which is preferred for me as it will pause my podcast/music when I receive a call on my PC.
Noise cancelling, but cancels the wrong noise. Bought this for my husband to use with his PS4. He has the original version and I have a PS4 Slim. When he first got it, we hooked it up to my PS4 Slim and it seemed to work well. But a few days later he unplugged it and moved it to his original PS4 and that’s where the trouble started. The mic just would not work. No matter how we adjusted the microphone settings all you could hear on the other end was a random robot sound and no actual voice.Thinking something just happened with that one, I returned it and requested a replacement with the same model. Well the new one just arrived Sunday and yesterday was the first time we got to test it out. While this one did seem to connect a bit better it was like it was purposefully blocking out HIS voice. I was on the other end in a game with him and could hear his TV, the dogs moving around in the room, every time he set his drink down on the table.. but his voice was being blocked almost completely with the exception of a few robot sounds every so often.I guess if you sound like a soda bottle this might work great but it’s certainly not gonna work for his masculine voice.
Surprisingly good for the price. Compared to the much more expensive Plantronics 5200, using the USB dongle for Teams meetings:- Range is significantly better.- Battery life is significantly better.- Microphone quality seems to be comparable (although this is based solely on anecdotal “sounds fine” comments from coworkers.)- Sound quality is not quite as good, but still quite functional.- Comfort is not quite as good. (But this could be due to 1. me not having tried the other ear tips yet, and 2. wearing it for longer periods of time, simply because I CAN wear it for longer periods of time thanks to the improved battery life.) It is a slightly larger/bulkier unit, which is noticeable when it’s hanging on your ear.Other minor differences between this unit and the Plantronics 5200:- There is no voice telling you the remaining talk time when you turn it on.- The USB dongle does not turn red when you mute it. Instead, it turns from a solid blue to a slowly fading in and out blue, which means you have to stare at it for a couple seconds to really be able to tell if it’s muted or not.- No charging case. Conclusion: There’s a few minor caveats, but considering the Plantronics 5200 is probably 3x the price of this unit, this is a great purchase overall.

Had it about a month and like it. I’m in Florida, about halfway from top to bottom of state. It’s warm here “most of the time” and hot here “quite a bit of the time” so wearing something over my ears all but about 10 days a year is a hard no. I have a PS4 so I just can’t buy any old bluetooth headset so I bought this. I love it. It can be super loud. Inside the PS4 settings the microphone has the option to go up 20 bars or so…..I run this on the 3rd one. Too loud if I go higher. This is a good thing as that means there’s plenty more sound for anyone that can’t hear very well. I’ve got a short 6″ USB C cable I plugged into PS4 and when I’m done playing games I can just plug it in to charge. Great little headset. If anything happens to it I’ll come back and edit the review.
Great for web conferences & phone calls. I’ve had this headset about 2 months and love it so far. It’s lightweight and comfortable in/on my tiny ears, and the ear hook is secure. (I can’t wear any headset with a “fat” ear hook; those won’t stay in place.) Battery life seems fine, although I typically only use it for an hour or so before plugging it back in to the charger. Paired easily with both my PC and iPhone. Sound is clear and true on my end and the caller’s end. My one complaint is that I can’t leave it paired to my phone, but rather have to pair it when I want to use it and unpair afterward. I use it mainly with my PC, and if I leave it paired to my phone, the phone will “steal” it from the PC when I’m trying to use it there. I guess I need a second one.TIP: If the headset is switched on but seems to have stopped working with the PC, remove and replace the USB receiver, and the headset should work again.
Surprisingly okay. This microphone looks great, and the sound quality passes well enough for basic communication. The transmitter it comes with is absolutely necessary to use however, as my other bluetooth USB receivers destroy the audio quality of this earpiece.
Playstation. I wanted to get something that wasnt a headset because long time wear of headsets can cause a dent on your head, which i didnt want. I bought this and ny friends tell me i sound very clear and they cant hear the background noise. It sounds better than other traditional headsets apparently. Its had buttons on it that are easy to use. The only downside of this is that its a little weird for me putting it on idk why it just is for me.
Not what I thought it would be. I bought this for convenience during gaming to prevent my ears from overheating. While it’s helping that I can use it for either ear, I’m constantly having to readjust the ear pierce, it slips out of my ears, and it DOES NOT have noise cancelling as listed. It’s not worth the price, in my opinion, but it is better than the headphones right now.
worked great for 3 months. I loved it at first but then i went on vacation, came back and it stopped working during a call. not cool. let it charge and worked fine then stopped again. bought a new one. too late to send it back.
Not bad for the price. For the price it’s actually a pretty decent product. It does seem to disconnect at the most inopportune times and does have a pretty short range before the audio starts getting a little distorted. Otherwise, I would still recommend others to give it a try.
Not consistent. I ordered these for web meetings as i work remotely. I received them and charged them overnight. The next day I used them for work but my first call, the person on the other end kept talking over me, which was odd. Later in the call, they mentioned that they could not hear me speaking, my mic had been spotty during the call. I unplugged the receiver to continue my meeting. After it was over, i troubleshooted to see what the issue was. Nothing that I could see. My next call, the same thing had happened- the person on the other line could not hear me. I tried to test the sound and it was reporting that i was using 15% of the volume limit while using my regular voice…so clearly there is an issue with the mic picking up the sound. I had tested the sound on a youtube video and the sound was intermittent. Its almost like it was breaking up because i was too far, although my computer was right in front of me with the receiver attached. All in all, i will be sending these back.
For work. Using these for my work phone and they work GREAT! They last two days at max and the sound is so clear and the customer’s have no problems hearing me. The connection is a USB connection and if your phone has that output definitely give these a try.
Weird ear angle. It works fine but it doesn’t fit well. The ear piece is tilted and it can’t be adjusted to move back so the mic is just all in your face
