So far, so good. We foster puppies and in this case we got mama also since the babies were still nursing. Unfortunately, this was yet another case of babies having babies! In other words, she is very young and just a big puppy herself. Man can this girl destroy some toys! She got spayed and I felt so bad for her having to wear the “cone of shame” plus she was pretty loopy from the anesthesia, so since this arrived the day of surgery I gave it to her, having low expectations of it lasting long. I realize this brand is pretty good, but like I said she is a major destroyer so I figured she’d have the stuffing out in no time. Granted, she does still have the cone on, but it hasn’t stopped her from tearing up other stuff (as in things she was not supposed to get ahold of!) It is currently one of her favorite toys and it makes me happy that she loves it so much. Hey guys….adopt don’t shop! (Sorry, just had to get that in there.)

Great toy for what it is. I’ve bought a ton of them. the GOOD- dogs LOVE the grunting sound. I’ve bought this toy like 20 times in all different sizes. the smallest ones don’t have a grunt. These are a favoritethe Bad- literally ANY toy these days is basically a stuffed animal that gets torn apart fast if you let your dog. I have a 20 pound dog and use it to play fetch in the house. If she lays down with it for more than 10 seconds alone she’ll rip a hole in it or pull fur out to eat. But this is literally the case with any toy if your dog claws at them instead of gently nibbles.

A favorite, but sadly not durable enough. This is very popular in our house, but I can’t give it 5 stars because the durability is so poor. My dog absolutely loves this hedgehog, its her favorite toy. The piggy grunt noise in its belly is hilarious to me, and seems to be deeply satisfying to her. She loves to run around with it in her mouth, and finds it soothing to make it “grunt” when she is over-excited and needs to calm herself. Sadly, the exterior is not durable enough to last more than a few weeks. She doesn’t generally destroy toys, she just likes to chomp on this to make it grunt, but a hole wears in the exterior and all the stuffing begins to spill out, and I have to take it away. I have bought 3 of these for her in the space of 3 months, and I am not sure its worth it. I am building up a stash of discarded hedgehogz, which looks perfectly good until you notice the hole in the side. I wish they would manufacture these with a more robust fabric. I’m tempted to try repairing, but I think its just too weak overall.

Holds up to rough play. This is my little mixed dog’s favorite toy. He runs and grabs it anytime he gets excited. It is holding up better than his other stuffed toys

My dog’s favorite toy. I’ve bought several of the Outward Hound Hedgehogz plush toys in different sizes, but this was my first time ordering the XL and my dog absolutely loves it! There’s something about this toy that makes it her favorite; she runs around the house with it all the time. We’ve been fans of the brand for a while, and this toy didn’t disappoint. It’s not ideal for tough chewers because of the stuffing, but it’s perfect for dogs that just love carrying around and playing with plush toys. Highly recommend for light chewers

Larger than expected. Was not expecting it to be as large as it is. I have a smallish-medium sized boxer and it’s a bit big for her to handle. That said, she loves it. Probably should have gotten a medium sized toy, but she’s not complaining so neither will I. Pretty well made. Not Kyjen quality, but still very much worth the money I had spent on it.

Cute. Smaller than I thought but it worked out for my small dog. Perfect size for him. Squeak isn’t too loud, so that’s nice. He will play with it for a long time flopping it around. Seems to be of good quality because he chews a lot and it’s still good to go. It keeps him busy bouncing it around. I like that there are no plastic pieces he can chew off.

Doesn’t last long but Fave toy. These don’t last long with our American Pit-bull Terrier, but it’s definitely his favorite toy. Probably bought more than twenty of these over the last couple of years. Buying on amazon saves a bunch over the pet store.

Favorite toy! Really cute. Our 2 young Standard Poodles love this brand of hedgehog! We love the cute honking noise. We have bought them in different sizes and always keep an extra around because eventually our dogs will bite a hole in them so we have to destuff them but they even carry them around when they are flat and noiseless! You can wash them in washer on gentle cycle and let air dry but usually they don’t “honk” after being put in the washer.

Great for larger dogs unique squeak sound. I purchase one of these every time they are on deal-they are high quality-yes, my dogs chew them to shreds but it takes them longer than most dog toys. Not sure if it is because they love it so much or because of the thicker fabric and the unique noise it makes, but nevertheless they love it and it lasts. The squeak is something I haven’t heard in other toys, more like a moan than a squeak. I do recommend this toy for larger dogs as the toy is about the size of toy poodle. Or a yorkie; yeah, more like a yorkie. This is will be an item I continue to purchase from Amazon as the price, even when not on deal, is way better than the pet stores.

Lasted less than 12 hours. Good news is my 6 month cavapoo loved it, bad news is it lasted less than 24 hours. I have stuffing all over my house but having the squeakers out was also a silver lining. We use the squeakers now on walks to get his attention. I’d also like to had how funny the squeakers are. This one has two mechanisms that make noise; one of the sounds is the traditional squeak and the other is a hedgehog sound I guess ( not sure ) but it’s comical. Just wish it lasted longer because my puppy loved it while it lasted.
