Awesome treats all around !! 5 stars. These are awesome treats!! First, the size is perfect. They’re about the size of a large chocolate chip, and close to the size of a standard piece of kibble. The texture is nice and doesn’t leave a bunch of crumbs or residue on your hands like other treats do and they’re fresh and soft for your pup to chew. The bacon flavor seems to be amazing, we just bought 5 different kinds of treats and my dog loves these the best even though they were some of the least expensive ones. You don’t get a huge bag, but for the price we paid, it was definitely worth it. They’re awesome training treats as they’re the perfect size for them to bite and not too small to the point your dog will vacuum them up and choke. They are a little bit smelly, but they don’t smell terrible or fishy, and to be honest, they’re perfectly smelly enough to entice my dog while training! I train and work with over 20 dogs and I have no doubt those guys will like them too, and I will update my review if I notice anything different when they try them. My dog is relatively sensitive and certain treats with colorings and lots of ingredients will make him sick but these aren’t like that at all and are perfect for even a sensitive dog like mine. HIGHLY recommend!!!
The perfect training treat. I received my first bag of these training treats with a book as a gift from someone who works with my husband. She’s in charge of the Therapy and Comfort Dogs at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center after getting a puppy as an early Mother’s Day gift. (I had been looking at dogs of all ages for months until I saw the puppy I got. I didn’t want a puppy from the beginning, but when I saw her, and we met, I had to have her, so my husband agreed). Anyways, these are firm enough to hold together, but soft enough to break into smaller pieces for a teething puppy. She loves them! At her puppy class, other owners have tan out of training treats and I offer them some of mine and they comment about how firm and soft they are and have even bought them. I use them for my puppy, I use them for training and working with my foster dogs and they love them too. We have a lot of young dogs in our community as well and whenever I’m out walking my dogs and foster dog, we meet up with the community dog group, the dogs all come to my treat bag on my hip because they know what I have and some of my neighbors have said that they have bought these as well because of how their dog responds to the treats.

My dog loves them. I have a little 10 lb dog and these are the perfect size for her. I have been purchasing this brand for years and it is always reliable and she loves them. They can be easily broken in half if you need something even smaller for a treat.

There’s another brand my dog likes a lot better. She did eat these so it’s not like they were horrible or anything, but they were more granular and they would kind of flake off. If you will if you hit them around the house I don’t use them as a training treat, but I made up a game called doggy sniff and seek. Where I put my doggy in the other room and then I hide these treats in sofas under them under furniture in drawers areas that she could get to, but she has to use her nose or her shnozzle as I call it to sniff around, I’ll usually show her where the perimeter is with my hands and body and walking around and then she has to sniff them out and she gets a treat or several treats. I don’t remember the name of the other brand, but I think I’ve reviewed them.
Nice size, well liked. With three dogs, using purchased “treats” can get expensive, but these are nice small ones so they last longer than some of the other treats on the market. I like that they’re soft, sometimes I cut them in half and use as “bread slices” to sandwich a pill between. The dogs all like them and if you hold them carefully while training a command the dog can lick them and get a taste reward w/o having to give them the whole treat right away. I also like the shape, they’re easy to handle. Finally, they hold up fairly well if carried around in a wearable treat pouch too.
Dog Trainer recommended. These treats are soft! Soft treats are mandatory for training. Hard treats cause chocking. If you leave treats out or forget to seal the bag then you should really throw them away because hard treats are not safe for dogs when in training. Hard treats are more like a once a day reward. I put the treats in a tupperware container just to make sure they stay soft. I really like these treats also because they have two different sizes small dog treats bags available.Usually break the mini treats in half for 10 lb dogs and quarter them for 5 lb dogs.Regular size dog treats are great for up to 40 pound dog. If you have a large breed dog 45 lb and over you might just want to buy some turkey hot dogs and boil all the salt out. Why is it important to have the right size treat? If you have the wrong size treat your dog will cough them out or choke on them as well. The treat can’t be too large or crunchy because they take too long to eat them which slows down training and they fill up faster.Also my trainer said white rice and a little bit of pumpkin on training days is ideal because of the number of treats we use. Because so many dogs have allergies the ingredients in these treats are great but if your dog has further allergies you can also try Natural Balance Mini Rewards but it’s mainly for small dogs 20lb and under. Moist, Functional, easily breakable.
