very effective at removing hair, cat loves it, but doesn’t collect all hair. Overall this is a great hair removal brush, and my cat loves it. I use this in combination with a stiff-bristle brush that she also loves. But the brush is something of a pain to clean the hair out of, and so I got this to make clean-up easier. For that it works great.The only problem I have with it is the bristles don’t do as good of a job as the brush at retaining the hair. I usually have to follow up the slicker with the regular brush to get the last of the hair off her coat that the slicker loosened up but didn’t take off. It’s not a BIG deal, just don’t throw away your regular brush. This isn’t a replacement for it, it’s just something to use first before doing a little bit of “clean-up” at the end.Also, these bristles are very stiff, so don’t use a lot of force. I can usually get away with just a little more than dragging it over her coat (american short-haired) to get the tips all the way down onto her scalp. Only use as much force as you need to get down to the bottom, otherwise you’ll probably start irritating their skin.Good brush, got one for my mom to use on her cat, and they also love it, so this review counts double!

Weak but functional. The retracting bristles do make for easy cleaning and it works as advertised. The downside is the bristles are not tough at all and somehow just using them on cat hair for a month several have already bent. When enough bend I imagine the retracting won’t work anymore, so you do kind of have to baby this thing. For less than ten bucks it’s worth it but I wish it were a little less “disposable” because I’m not sure there’s a way to make this last for years in a typical household with animals. A harder steel would help because the bristles are less likely to snap than bend with the intended use.

TERRIFIC CAT BRUSH. My cat NOW LOVES TO BE BRUSHED! HE WOULD LET ME BRUSH HIS HAIR FOR LIKE 5 MINUTES BEFORE, THEN STARTED BITING THE BRUSH, OR ME? NOW HE LET’S ME BRUSH ALL THE FLUFFY UNDERCOAT OUT OF HIM. I REALLY SEE A BIG IMPROVEMENT WITH FEWER HAIRBALL INCIDENTS! I DEFINITELY NEEDED THIS BRUSH!

Cat’s Highlight of the Day. Out of compromise though still with disgust, I find myself living with a cat because of my boyfriend (the feline beast’s father). I cannot stand pet hair on my clothes, or on anything at all actually hence my annoyance with these silly creatures.My Dyson cleans the floor flawlessly, and I have a furniture brush that handles the hair on that though I found myself still pissed with the endless amount of hair I find everywhere. So I figured its time to hit the root of all this madness. My boyfriend already had a cheaply wooden brush, and he bought the silicone glove. The brush was ok, but it was annoying to clean and it handled poorly. The glove worked nice as well, but again cleaning the hair off this tool was also an annoyance.So I decided to get this brush because of the ease of self cleaning; push the button on top and it will dispense the build-up of cat hair. And I am happy to say cleaning the cat has never been easier. The handle on the brush is comfortable on the hands while providing ample grip. The metal bristles perform beautifully, and with every stroke of the brush I’m just amazed on how much loose hair this pest of a cat produces.Great product with awesome results. Now when the cat sees me grabbing the brush she immediately rolls on her back, and starts purring. Spoiled brat.

Best brush ever. This is a replacement to a similar brush that the bristles got bent(not the same brand). I’ve noticed a significant difference with less shedding using this brand. Wow! No more fly aways. It seems to really brush deeply on my short haired (use to shed) cat. The brush itself seems to be more sturdy than the last one I owned, as well. Love it and so does she.
