I bought this item as a gift. Unfortunately someone else had done the same so I had to send it back. We did have the chance however to set it up. The product seemed excellent and the instructions for use were very clear.The best part for me was the customer service. I unwittingly ordered this from the US and sending it back coincided with the (suspected Russian) cyber attack on the Royal Mail which prevented post from being sent abroad for weeks. The customer service team were not only very patient in handling this but worked hard to arrange multiple other ways for me to get the package back to them at their own expense.If you are looking for a product that can be supplied by Bial Limited, then based on my experience, I wholeheartedly recommend them above any other supplier. Their product was excellent and their customer service beyond exemplary.
I always swore. To never be one of those people that bought an appliance that only makes one thing… Like those sandwich maker/toasters for example…. Now I officially have 2 items that were only made for one thing…. The first was a cutter/crimper set for my kids to use to make their own Uncrustables, which has been used daily since I got it for everything from PB&J, to meat/cheese, to tuna salad, to pimento cheese, to even cucumber sandwiches… They have gone sandwich crazy! Then I found this little item while looking for something to let my son cook an egg or 2 in the microwave, and in the midst of all the little plastic and ceramic cups with lids for the microwave I found these egg cookers. The red one was on sale for a lower price than the other colors and as our kitchen is detailed in red I took that as a nudge that we should try it, after reading through countless reviews first!I do want to say that someone on here posted that it didn’t work with farm fresh eggs, that’s not true! It works just fine! I think their problem was because they punctured their eggs at the top and not at the bottom where the air sack is like the instructions say to do. Make sure you are putting the little hole on the bigger end, the bottom, of the egg. It worked perfectly for us with eggs that were just collected over the past day or 2. We have only had this little thing not even a whole day, it got here this morning and already my kids have made everything from hard boiled, to poached, to “scrambled”. My son used the omelette setting and try to make scrambled eggs by only using the fork to break up the yolks and stuff a little, then season and cook, then use his fork to break them up and fluff them a little on his plate. It worked great! They had eggs for lunch and supper today just because they like that they can to it themselves. They are 12, and I did monitor them while they did. We already go through about 20 eggs a week, now I worry that I won’t be able to keep them supplied with enough at all! I made myself a soft boiled egg on toast for supper and it was excellent! Its the only photo I have to upload as I didn’t think about it when the kids ate. All I added was a little Louisiana Hot Sauce sprinkled over the egg and buttered toast. I didn’t mess with anything else as I was exhausted from working out in the yard today. Now I am catching myself not only thinking about get these as gifts for a couple of people I know that work a lot and don’t have a lot of time for cooking, but also looking into some of the other little items Dash makes! I rarely mess with steaming rice as I am the only one that eats it, but the size of the one by Dash has me thinking. I absolutely LOVE the size of this egg cooker! Its simple, small, and I have a whole, almost empty top shelf in my kitchen that I could keep 2-3 little things like this easily up there with my big ol crock pot. I am very glad I decided to get this thing, so are my kids! We are always looking for things they can make for themselves without resorting to frozen tv dinner type stuff for when I am working late. My 19yr old daughter can make a few things, but not many, and the boys like making stuff themselves. If you are on the fence about this you should go for it! Everything we have made so far has come out cooked as wanted. I may pick up an extra one to take to the office for people. I think it would be a big hit!

This is great product. So I purchased this a few months ago and wanted to try out all the features before I submitted my review. I mainly purchased it for making hard boiled eggs without the fuss of doing it on the stove, and supposedly the shells would come off easier after cooking.I love the convenience of cooking hard boiled eggs, although some eggs seem to cook perfectly while others may have a yolk that is a tad soft but never so soft that it isn’t edible or workable for deviled eggs. And, in 95% of the cases, whether it is a fresh from the chicken egg or a store bought egg, the shells come off easily. A HUGE bonus for me.I read that a lot of people had difficulty with the poached egg feature, and I was definitely among them. However, I finally hit the right water level after trying them all. The water level for poached on the water cup will yield an uncooked watery mess. But if you set the water level to medium, dead on, no more, no less, you should end up with a perfect poached egg. When the timer goes off, get your egg outta there or it will continue to cook, not a good thing. You will need to pour off what little water may be in the cup, then serve. I use olive oil to coat the poaching cup before putting in the egg. Not sure if it matters what you use, but that’s what I use.The omelet cup yields a wonderful fluffy omelet. The capacity is 2 eggs but quite frankly one egg puffs up so much during the cooking time that I’m not sure if 2 eggs would be too much or not. I only eat one egg anyway, and I add stuff like cheese, bacon, ham, onions, whatever strikes my fancy. I was really impressed by the result.So there you have it. I love this cooker, I’m so glad I purchased it. Be sure and read the directions, the most important one being to NOT lock your cooker while it is cooking. It will become a mini pressure cooker if you do that and that would not be a good thing. The lock feature is there to keep the accessories locked into the cooker when you are storing it. I put a label on the lid of the cooker to remind me NOT to lock it during cooking because sometimes I forget stuff.
Almost Perfect! Highly Recommend. My grocery store sells peeled hard-boiled eggs but they cost twice as much as making them myself. I rarely make them because it’s such a production. So I decided to get an egg cooker to save some time and money. After reading a zillion reviews here I bought the Dash and am so glad I did!Operation is dead simple and it looks cute on my counter. When the water is boiled away the cooker stops and makes a sweet chiming sound that’s loud enough to hear but not so loud as to be jarring. It continues to chime until I come over and turn it off.It makes PERFECT hard-boiled eggs! No complaint there. I drop them in a bowl of ice water and let them cool a long time, but they never peel as easily as people say they will. My solution is to crack and peel them under running water.The omelette is good, too, but the poached eggs always have runny whites. I tried poaching them longer but that made the yolk hard.I use distilled water to reduce hard water mineral buildup on the metal plate. The calcium in the eggshells leave a little buildup on the plate but It’s easy to remove.If you only care about hard-boiled eggs and omelettes then you can’t do better than this little cutie! I docked it 1 star for the poached eggs. If I ever learn how to overcome that problem I’ll come back and give it 5 stars.Apologies for any typos.

Amazing Egg Cooker. This little egg cooker is so amazing! It does everything as advertised and then some!It is so easy to use and it is so fast. I decided to write this review during a cycle and it beat me to my finishing this review lolThe eggs come out perfect every time and I have used all the bonus features I had no idea it had when I first bought it!I have used it for quick easy protein with the easy to peel hard boiled eggs, egg sandwiches, eggs in ramen! It was so good I bought a second as a gift for my mom too!
Money well spent. Works greats! Easy clean. Just got it in the mail. Super quick order and delivery. Opened immediately and did a quick wipe down. Instructions are clear, simple, and Easy. Rapid cooker is perfectly petite. I immediately did a test run on the rapid cooker and it did not disappoint. 6 soft boiled eggs to my families delight!! Very satisfied!! Just place a second order to give to my friend!
Works great. I like eating hard boiled eggs and this makes preparing them a breeze. The eggs come out perfect and are very easy to peel. Haven’t tried making poached eggs yet but, I think it will work great for them also. Very reasonably priced and I highly recommend.
Works well, but handle is really dangerous. This “DASH Rapid Egg Cooker: 6 Egg Capacity Electric Egg Cooker” is a very good egg cooker, as expected from Dash. My one complaint is a design flaw, possibly forced by patent issues? The tray has a little handle in the center that can be detached for using the poaching & omelette inserts, & to get the egg-laden tray off when they’re finished cooking, you have to put your hand directly over the very hot steam plate to grab the handle. The detachable stem/handle is not very secure & can detach easily, especially when you’re hurrying to get your hand (holding the egg tray) out of the steam cloud. If you don’t balance the eggs by placing them on opposite sides of the tray, the hot tray tips sideways & the handle detaches, dropping the eggs in the process. This is both unnecessarily fiddly & quite dangerous. Dash, please ditch the detachable center post & place 2 little loop handles on opposite sides of the tray. Much safer & easier to use.One more thing: why the locking mechanism? The instructions say never to lock the lid when the cooker is in use, so is it just for transport to storage? Seems superfluous, & eliminating it would likely cut manufacturing costs.
Saw this on social media. it actually works. I really like soft boiled eggs but it is such a pain to make. This really simplifies the process and makes peeling much easier. They give you a tiny tool to puncture each egg before you cook it. It really does make it much easier to peel the eggs. The only issue is that there are mineral stains after it boils all the water away. I was able to remove them after with light scrubbing using a magic eraser. Besides that, this is a really useful kitchen tool.
Egg-cellent. Amazing egg maker. Super easy to use and get the type of boiled egg you want. Very easy to clean. Seems to be built well and has lasted almost daily use for 6 months. The cook time for the eggs is pretty fast too. I like the loud reminder chime that the eggs are ready.
So Handy. This cooker is so easy to use. Just add water and eggs, and when they are done the cooker sounds an alarm to let you know. This is so much easier than boiling, and much safer. The automatic cut off means you can walk away without any danger. The eggs come out perfectly; they’re fully cooked and easy to peel, EVERY TIME. No problems, very easy to use.
Very easy way to cook eggs. First off, I am so terrible at making boiled eggs. Watching the timer on the stove top has always led to inconsistency and over or under cooked eggs. So the fact that this little cooker makes the perfect jammy eggs makes it a wonderful addition to my kitchen!I normally do not by single use appliances, but this thing is so small and compact I gave it a go and for the past month it has been amongst the best things in my cooking tool belt. It’s consistent with making the same cooked level of egg each time, and I don’t have to guess the water levels due to the markings on the pouring cup.The circular dish is great for breakfast sandwiches as I can make either scrambled eggs or two sunnysides into the perfect round patty. Just make sure to properly oil the dish beforehand, though it’s not too difficult to get out or clean if you forget. And speaking of cleaning, it’s really easy to do so. No more stuck eggs on bowls or pans.The aspect to be aware of is the shut off music. It’s super cute with the music that plays, but it’s very loud when standing next to it. Understandable of course as it’s easy to walk away from it and just wants to make sure you’re alerted to ice them down right away. Would be nice to be able to adjust the music level, but it’s at least nicer than hearing an alarm style dinging/ringing.Overall, it’s a very cute and easy way to get your daily protein and allows you to focus on other cooking tasks.
