Fasting but need Potassium 4700mg per day -. I started my fast into the second day, and as I was researching I realized, “What am I going to do to get 4,700 mg of Potasium?” – I immediately started searching for sources. I got into this “Electrolytes” thing and ran into lots of products that claim to restore Electrolytes which in my mind is Sodium, Potassium, and Magnesium. I checked my collection of suppliments and found a “Vitamin B plus electrolytes” and checked the label. I got it from “Kirkland” called Super B-Complex with Electrolytes. Wow! Potasium 30mg! You can see my point about products claiming to provide you with Electrolytes and LITTLE TO NO POTASSIUM! Also that product had NO MAGNISIUM! Back to the review, I received this product in the mail today!First impressions? It’s a lot smaller than I thought and it does come with the little “scooper”. The powder is so fine that it floats out into the air when you unscrew the cap. I got the Pomegranate and Cherry. Yes it tastes too sweet and a lingering SALT flavor stays with you. I found it strange that I had trouble getting it to dissolve in the water which was around 12-16 ounces. I was left with powder unmixed at the bottom of the glass. I topped it with water again, and stirred it with a butter knife. Drank it down and STILL had powder at the bottom of the glass undisolved. Servings per container is 50. So, if I have FIVE SCOOPS OF THIS each day, I will have the required amount of Potassium. What does that mean when I’m fasting as in no food for several days? That means I will need 5 scoops each day. That means this would be perfect for a 10 day fast! I would not recommend this for a daily supliment and instead would just eat food instead like Beet Tops, and leafy greens. Bottom Line!? It seems expensive and thanks for all the salt. Seriously though, maybe put the whole scoop in your mouth and wash it down rather than trying to get it to dissolve in a drink? I’m glad I could “school” on what advertisers claim are electrolytes vs. what is actually provided in their products. The salty after taste lingers. I’ll try a scoop in my coffee later. After, YOU NEED FIVE SCOOPS A DAY if you are extend fasting. I’m on day two with no food and I feel great! This product is helping me. The magnisium is only 120mg, but FIVE SCOOPS per day fasting? Peace of mind. I couldn’t find anything else that came close. Thanks Dr. Berg! lol Bottom Line? Perfect for a ten day fast.
Increased energy. I love this product!! I’ve been using it for over 2 years.I live in So Cal and we have some pretty hot days, and this really makes a big difference when I’m starting to feel tired or experience that little slump in energy. I can see a noticeable difference after drinking it with my energy. If the weather has been pretty warm I always make this drink to replace the electrolytes that are lost thru perspiration. Or if I’ve spent the day outside in the sun such as at the beach, this drink will revive me.As well, I often do intermittent fasting and sometimes Keto. When doing Keto, if I get leg cramps, I know I need the potassium and this drink does the trick.I mix one scoop electrolyte powder with one scoop of Dr. Berg Wheatgrass in a 16 oz glass of chilled water. (Mix thoroughly first with just a 1/4 cup water to ensure it dissolves well.). It’s on the sweeter side, but if it’s too sweet, just add more water to dilute. Or sometimes I balance it out by squeezing a lemon in it…which is great for the vitamin c boost.I am 61 and very energetic and I can honestly say this is a great product and def helps with energy. I’ve also now got my 22 yr daughter drinking it and she loves it in the hot weather as well.I would say most people might need to use it for a month before you start seeing results. And mixing the two products together helps for the taste and giving such a great boost to your health. Do your research and watch some Dr. Berg videos as he is extremely knowledgeable regarding the body and improving health. I am a def a big fan and have learned a ton which has helped me and many of my friends.
Works Great, But Pomegranate & Cherry Flavor is Absolutely Nasty Tasting. After working outdoors drenched in sweat all day I tend to get terrible leg cramps at night if I don’t take in electrolytes throughout the day. I recently tried Dr. Berg’s Electrolyte Powder for the first time (POMEGRANATE & CHERRY FLAVOR.) The product works great for me; no cramps at night after using it. It seems refreshing when I drink it. Here’s the problem: it has a very off-putting taste and a smell that sort of reminds me of guava. Or Malathion. I can hardly bring myself to drink the stuff. The stevia aftertaste is one thing (mixing it a little on the diluted side takes care of that) but this is something else altogether. The product works so well I’m going to order it in another flavor and see if that makes a difference. As for the Pomegranate & Cherry Flavor, I think something has gone wrong there. Maybe they should change the label to read “This product works great, but tastes and smells like a$$.” Probably won’t sell as much that way, though.UPDATE: I purchased the LEMONADE FLAVOR. Works great and tastes much better to me than the Pomegranate & Cherry. I find diluting the powder in a little more water than recommended on the label definitely cuts the stevia aftertaste by a lot. The overall taste is tolerable and very refreshing. And it works!
Works well to keep my electrolyte levels up. Items was shipped with cellophane wrapper intact however the safety seal was broken. Contacted Dr. Berg’s support and they shipped a replacement within 3 business days. I was very pleased with the service they provided.Due to an electrolyte imbalance I suffer from PVC’s (heart condition). This product has made a noticeable difference right away. The flavor was a little too sweet when I first started using this product (Grape flavor) however I learned to add just a little extra water to cut the flavor. This helped greatly and the flavor is now quite nice to me.As other’s have said, allow the mixture to sit for 15 or so minutes to allow everything to dissolve and mix well.Overall I am very pleased with the product but it is a little pricey. You do get what you pay for sometimes and this might just be one of those times.
Expensive, doesn’t dissolve, we’ll see if it helps w/ my hypertension. Otherwise decent supplement. I decided to try this powder based upon one of Dr. Berg’s videos about reducing hypertension, which I have a longstanding struggle with (failing to not make dietary adjustments has not helped). I decided to give it a shot, since I take electrolyte powders in my water when I do water- and other sports here in the desert Southwest (especially in the warmer months, where it’s not optional IMO)! I’ve been using mostly Liquid IV, which I love the taste of and dissolves without issue. I do like the taste of this powder. It’s sweet enough to make water drinkable but definitely not overpowering at all. It’s actually very refreshing.However, as others have pointed out, the price point on this stuff isn’t great, as compared to LIV, especially for a half-filled tub (Shrinkflation, anyone??). Also, like others have said, I can’t get the stuff to fully dissolve. Some of it does and lies in suspension throughout, but there’s always this gritty, particulate residue that never seems to go away. For the money, you’d think they’d figure out this issue.Apart from that, I am hoping that it helps somewhat reduce my blood pressure, since I’m drinking water anyway. Not sure if I’ve fallen for the hype or what, but I’ve gone ahead and ordered another tub lol
Best Electrolytes Ever. I have now purchased every flavor but one from Dr Berg’s and I must say I don’t think I’ll ever use a different brand. The other brands have additives and garbage in them but not this brand. Also the lemonade is now my new favorite. Second is strawberry lemonade, and third is tangerine. I’ve also found that if you mix together the cherry pomegranate with the orange you get a copycat Kool-Aid tropical fruit punch, you know… the blue packet from when we were kids! The tropical coconut pineapple one is good if you mix in some orange with it (not the tangerine, orange)… But the orange one on its own is way too sweet for my taste. It just tastes like a super sugar orange and not in a good way. So I always use the plain orange flavor with other flavors to enhance them. The tangerine is a great copycat orange soda and is really good by itself. The grape is good and satisfies my grape Kool-Aid craving, but the raspberry lemonade is a little bit strange to me. It’s not necessarily bad… but it doesn’t taste like raspberry lemonade either. It’s almost like a familiar candy taste from childhood but I can’t quite place it. It’s good enough so that once in awhile I’ll have it again but I probably won’t buy that flavor again. The cucumber flavor is the only one I haven’t tried yet. I just don’t have high hopes for that flavor. But, this is really a great brand and I will keep high in stock the lemonade, strawberry lemonade, and tangerine flavors. Thank you!
Highly Recommend. I’ve purchased this product well over five times, and I absolutely love it. It’s natural, clean, and gives me a steady burst of energy while keeping me hydrated throughout the day. The flavor is perfectly balanced—it’s not overwhelmingly sweet, with a refreshing mix of lemon and raspberry. One of my concerns while following a keto diet has been dealing with keto headaches, but this electrolyte has helped eliminate that issue completely. It dissolves easily in water, and I appreciate that there are no artificial additives. Whether I’m working out or just going through a busy day, this has become my go-to for hydration. Best electrolyte. I really like the high potassium, low sodium, and all the other minerals. If I feel like I need a little extra salt, I just add a pinch. I like how I can control how much salt I take in. I bought 5 flavors, lemon raspberry, tangerine, orange, cherry pomegranate, and tropical fruit. The lemon raspberry is refreshing. The tropical tastes like coconut. The cherry tasted a little strange, not my favorite. The orange is very mild, doesn’t taste like much. The tangerine is by far my favorite, delicious. The key is to make it the day before, in a 16 oz mason jar with a plastic lid. I’ll have 3 to 4 already made up and in the fridge, ready to drink first thing in the morning ( just 1 a day). It even tastes better the next day, the flavor soaks in and it dissolves better, just give a shake before drinking. I wish they would make the tangerine in the larger size, “value size”, and make it less expensive. I bought some on Prime day, on sale, good time to stock up. Definitely the best electrolyte powder I’ve ever tried, I’m sticking with this one.
