  1. Amika Dry Shampoo Works. FIRST NOTE: Amika’s can is very slick, and it’s fat, this makes it difficult for me to hold, so I wrapped two very thick rubber bands around it near the top where I hold it, to give it some traction.I’ve tried a few of these dry shampoos over the years, with very little to no success at all, but the need remains so I decided to try again.Amika’s Dry Shampoo, I’m delighted to report, REALLY IS VERY DIFFERENT and stands out from the rest. It does the job, and does it WELL!It did not leave my scalp, hair and clothing or the bathroom filled with white powder, to be sure there was some, a very slight amount of dust, but really very slight and so easily brushed out, away, and GONE!Photo 1: My hair two days after shower, the oil is progressing, I need to clean this up NOW. I flipped my head over upside down, brushed it out, did some spraying, flipped back up, did a little spraying, brushed it out. Hmm… needed more. I flipped it over again, pulled it up and out here and there, spraying in it at the roots, mussed it a bit, then let it sit a bit. I had to let it sit a minute. This took a few more sprays of Amika than I thought it would, basically, there was more oil underneath my hair than I thought there was.Photo 2: My Clean Hair, by Amika! My hair is soft and smooth and it smells wonderful. It didn’t cling like talc, I couldn’t even see it. It didn’t cause static electricity in my hair and clothing like talc. It didn’t grey out my hair like talc. You WILL however see my hair go from dark to light. Why? Because oil darkens hair of course.Amika’s Dry Shampoo Spray simply found the oil in my hair and scalp, soaked it up and took it away and left my hair clean and scented nicely. My SO is impressed, (he was there for the before and after), he said he might be trying it out too. He and I are very drought conscious here in Southern California, we clean up, but use as little water as we can.***UPDATE***Photo 3: My Clean Hair, by Amika, on day 8! I wanted to see how far I could push it; yes it still looked and smelled clean, but the powder was more there this time, and it was a little more difficult to remove all of it. I can say however that Amika is worth every penny, I sent a can of it to my daughter J.*****UPDATE*****PHOTO ORDER. I’m not sure anything can be done about this, unless I number the pics in order. Maybe if I put them in backwards for Amazon to rearrange in the opposite fashion, again? *sigh* Being anal retentive is such a . . .

beats competitors. pic is of day 4 hair + this dry shampoo! I have wavy/puffyish brunette caucasian hair that i blowout and straighten , I like to maximize days between washes. I just finished my bottle of Living Proof and Oribe and i wanted to try a new one. this the particles are very small and leave little to no residue or chalky feeling on hair like LP does. it does not feel “just shampood” clean, but VERY close. Closer than I felt with LP, batiste, lush, klorane, or plain corn starch. it adds a LASTING (sleep-prrof) and clean bounce of volume that i dont need but is definitely a plus. the scent is STRONG, like turns-on-my-automatic-air-piurifier strong. but it goes away (thankfully). Overall for price for the big size is hard to beat. and YES its better than drugstore. I put it on like the night before my hair gets greasy not after-the-fact.

  3. Worth every penny. This stuff is amazing!!! I wash my hair on day 1. On day 2, it’s still pretty clean. But, by day 3, my roots are oily and gross. All the other dry shampoos I’ve tried helped a little bit; enough that I could eek out that 3rd day. But that’s as far as I could stretch it. When I used the Amika product on day 3, it totally refreshed my roots to a day 1 look and feel. I don’t even feel a gross residue, like I did with some other products, and could style my hair as normal. Probably the ONLY con is that the smell isn’t the greatest. But, it’s not the worst thing I’ve smelled either. Definitely recommend!

  4. This is Heaven “Scent”. Another hit for the Amika product. I have use some dry shampoos over the course of some years. Amika was a #1 hit for me. Not only the smell is so wonderful, but to see this dry shampoo in action before my eyes is great!!My bangs tend to get a little oily because it’s lays on my skin, so I spray in the morning all over first, section every part of my hair. Wait for a few minutes and then run my fingers through my hair like I’m shampooing. The results, it does put some bounce back into my hair for a few days since I don’t like to constantly wash my hair and strip the natural oils.Scent is great as always, goes a little to fast for me, so I stock up when I can. Love this product.

  5. Stopped spraying. This is my favorite go to for dry shampoo but the last two cans have quit spraying after 2 uses. With half a can left, I have to throw it away. Going to give it one more chance and if it happens again, I will try to find another one I like. Too expensive to be throwing half a can away each time. Four stars but would I’d normally have given it 5
