  1. READ THIS. READ THIS!!!I first have to say, I don’t typically write reviews UNLESS the product blows me away, which is rare. To give you a little background about my hair. I had extremely HEALTHY, LONG, THICK blonde hair! It fell to the middle of my back, It was absolutely beautiful. I went to get it colored to give it a break from the highlights, I was going to change it to a strawberry blonde, which I have been many times before and other than blonde, its the only other color I like on me. When I went to the salon, they messed up the color. I ended up with hot pinkish, purple roots and a grayish auburn, mid-shaft to ends. I was in the salon that day for 7 and a half hours. They had to bleach my entire head and leave it on to get all of the screwed up colors out of my hair, resulting to EXTREME chemical damage and breakage. I went in with my hair being all one length to having bangs that were never even cut into my hair. My hair was destroyed and they had to take over 5inches off just to get the ends to LOOK healthy. My hair now sits on my shoulders and has broken pieces all over the top and mid section and all around my hair line. I have literally cried about this since it happened 5 weeks ago. It took me forever to get my hair exactly the way I wanted it and now I am starting over. My hair is no longer manageable, it is kinky and dry and looks it! The salon I had gone to was a new salon closer to where I moved. Prior to this salon I had been going to my original hairstylist for 15 years (I’m 30) so half of my life one person has touched my hair. I live two hours from her now so I decided to give a different salon a try and it was a mistake. I will now be driving 2 hours to go to her every 8 weeks. I texted her about 2 weeks after this all happened and she told me right away to order this product. I didn’t hesitate. I ordered it and received it the beginning of this week. I have used it twice so far and I will tell you what, after the first time I noticed a difference! I am excited to see after a couple months and using this 3 times a week (Extremely damaged hair should use it more than once a week). I also have been sleeping with it on over night which I notice gives me better results. This is not a conditioning treatment, so it does need to be shampooed out. I have a feeling this product will be what saves my hair. I will post before and after pictures once I actually do my hair so you can see the difference!

  2. I bought Olaplex 1 and 2 as a stand alone treatment (my hair dresser also used it on me with a root bleach) and I bought number 3 to use separately alongside my conditioner and moisture treatments. I’ve never regretted buying a product more in my life.I’ve had my hair bleached professionally for 15 years and never experienced more than a few split ends. After my hairdresser used 1 & 2 in my hair it initially felt amazing and looked really shiny. After a few days it started to snap quite a lot. The point of breakage was the part where the newly bleached hair joined the hair that was previously bleached.. the normal area of overlap.I assumed that it was just because the stylist had gone up one level in bleach and I contacted Olaplex and they recommended that I keep using 1 & 2 as a stand alone treatment as well as number 3 regularly.Over about 2 weeks I followed the instructions from the Olaplex rep. I must add that I followed the product instructions exactly and I also conditioned my hair with moisture thoroughly each time I used it to avoid drying.Every time I used the Olaplex product my hair was snapping more and more.. it sounds stupid but it took me over two weeks to work out that the Olaplex was causing this. I sought out independent advice from a high end salon chain locally to me who offer Olaplex as a service. They advised that although the product is amazing for most people, it can have an adverse effect on a fair few people, even with virgin untreated hair.Upon subsequent research I have read about hundreds of people who have had the same experience. It is as though the Olaplex fries your hair and leaves it like snapping burnt straw.Since I stopped using it, my hair has stopped breaking. However I am left with short stubby sections of my hair in various places, mainly on the crown and in the parting. Personally I feel disgusting but I know my hair will grow and I will never use that product again. Using high moisture products since has helped with the overall condition but I can’t get the broken hair back. The product is overpriced and over rated in my opinion. I would strongly recommend doing a test on your hair before using this product all over. If you buy it, test it on a section and wait a week or so to see if it starts snapping.

  3. Revitalize and Restore Your Hair to its Former Glory. As someone who has struggled with damaged and brittle hair, Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 Repairing Treatment has been nothing short of a hair transformation miracle, earning a well-deserved 5-star review! This repairing treatment has revitalized and restored my hair to its former healthy and lustrous state. The Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 treatment is incredibly easy to use. Applying it to damp, towel-dried hair and leaving it in for the recommended time is a breeze. The clear and concise instructions provided on the packaging make the process foolproof, even for those new to hair treatments. One of the most significant benefits of this treatment is its effectiveness in repairing damaged hair. My hair has been subjected to various chemical treatments, heat styling, and environmental stressors, leaving it weak and prone to breakage. However, after using Olaplex No 3, I noticed a visible reduction in hair breakage and improved overall hair health. The treatment’s unique formula works from within the hair shaft, repairing broken disulfide bonds and strengthening the hair structure. The results are undeniable – my hair feels smoother, softer, and more manageable after each use.Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 is a true multitasker. Even with weekly use, a little goes a long way, and the bottle lasts for an extended period, providing excellent value for the price.I also appreciate that Olaplex is a brand that prioritizes hair health. The products are free from harmful chemicals like sulfates, parabens, and phthalates, ensuring that I am using a safe and nourishing treatment on my hair.In conclusion, Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 Repairing Treatment is a game-changer for anyone looking to revive and restore their damaged hair. Its effectiveness in repairing and preventing damage, ease of use, suitability for all hair types, and commitment to hair health make it a must-have in every hair care routine. 4. My hair has never felt so good. I use this regularly now. Yes, it can seem expensive but the product lasts for such a long time due to not needing as much. It is thick in consistency and covers all hair easily. I generally leave it on for a little while, normally while I’m pottering about and then rinse it off. I also use the shampoo and conditioner which also adds to the great feel of your hair. Place a small amount on your hand and run through your hair, you will be surprised how far it goes.I don’t think it really has a smell, just leaves hair feeling healthy and nourished.

  5. Love this products. If you’re like me and have put your hair through the ringer with color treatments and heat styling, Olaplex No. 3 is a total lifesaver. This stuff is nothing short of magic in a bottle!I was skeptical at first due to the price, but let me tell you, it’s worth every penny. I use it once a week, and each time I’m left amazed at how much healthier and stronger my hair looks and feels. It’s super easy to apply, and I love that I can leave it on for as long as I want, sometimes even overnight for an extra boost. After rinsing it out, my hair is noticeably softer, smoother, and more manageable. Plus, it helps with frizz control, which is a big win for my unruly hair. I’ve also noticed less breakage and split ends since I started using Olaplex No. 3 regularly. The only downside is the size of the bottle; it’s a bit small for the price, but a little goes a long way, and the results are undeniable. I’ve tried countless hair masks and treatments, but Olaplex No. 3 is in a league of its own. If you want to bring your damaged hair back to life, don’t hesitate to give this a try. It’s a game-changer!

  6. OlaDaBombe. I read about this on InStyle – sadly proven to be a very poor source for real user based product reviews. I was prepared to be disappointed. All I can say is WOW!5 months ago, I had to travel extensively, and had little prep time, though needed to look groomed and fresh. I snatched up a curling blow dry brush dryer, and used it exclusively. My hair is wavy and fine, but I have a ton of it. Within 3 weeks, the tool had completely scorched my entire top layer of hair, and it broke off at the roots. What was left looked like dry, baked straw. Since then, getting my hair to look marginally decent has been a challenge. I sleep all night with olive oil in my hair, then shampoo, condition, mask, and then hit the heat products to dry.No olive oil last night. This morning, this product, then wash and condition, and…My hair doesn’t just look improved, it looks RESTORED. Lush, abundant, shiny, and shaped.I have no idea how long the application lasts, but this is simply the best. It is now part of my official routine.

It WORKS, but you need to know a few things. This stuff is an absolute game changer! After losing my hair due to brain surgery and the chemotherapy-type medications I have to take everyday, I couldn’t get my hair to grow, and what little hair grew was thin and unhealthy. Whether it should or shouldn’t have (we can debate the glass half full thing all day), my self-esteem was wrecked by not having the long healthy hair I once had. My hair was my femininity, and I felt that I had lost that entirely. It was a very difficult time for me both physically and emotionally. By attending support groups for women with similar neurological/ autoimmune disorders, I’ve learned those feelings are quite common.About two years ago, my hairstylist suggested that I try Ola Plex. She had seen very positive results in her salon from her other clients using the product line. I figured I didn’t have anything to lose, (literally, I literally had no hair to lose) so why not give it a shot? Without a doubt, that was one of the smartest decisions of my life! My hair is now well past my shoulders, thick, and very healthy. Here are a few things that you need to know before you start using these products.1- I think you should use the entire product line, not just this treatment alone. I don’t know how well this would work, without the Ola Plex shampoo and conditioner. It’s kinda an all or nothing sort of thing, in my opinion. I personally use the entire line, and I think in doing so, I was able to quickly achieve and maintain the results that I wanted.2- You will need to commit time to each treatment. The directions say to leave the treatment on for a minimum of 15 minutes. I would encourage you to keep it in longer. I typically apply the treatment right before bedtime, stick a shower cap on my head, and hit the bed. In the morning, I shampoo, and condition. The longer you leave in the treatment, the better the result. Remember, this is a treatment, not a conditioner. I would say my average treatment time is about eight hours, but I’ve gone as little as one hour.3- The directions do NOT read to use sparingly. This particular treatment is not an example of “a little goes a long way.” You need to have a good amount of product in your hair for it to work. Now, their shampoo and conditioner only require about a dime size amount. Those are great examples of “a little goes a long way.” Basically, I just don’t want anyone to feel the product doesn’t work, when the issue was actually that not enough product was used. At 8.5 inches past my shoulders (as of 10-9-24), I use close to an entire bottle every time I use this treatment, which is (on average) twice per week. When you first start using the treatment, when your hair is at its most unhealthy, you really should consider treating it more than only twice per week.4- I lost a good bit of hair, when I first started using it…which terrified me! I debated stopping it entirely. My hairdresser said the decision was entirely up to me, but she recommended that I push through. She used a lot of big science words to explain why hair loss can be common when beginning this or similar treatments. I told myself that I would commit to 6 weeks of treatment. If my hair was still falling out at that point, I would just stop using it. My period of hair loss was less than a month.I started to see new hair growth and an obvious difference in appearance after about a month. Overall, I went from a man’s military “high and tight” to shoulder length hair in about 18 months. It’s probably important to mention here that I also made sure to take a good vitamin supplement with Collagen, Biotin, and other “hair healthy” vitamins packed in them. There are many reasonably priced brands available on Amazon. To make a long story short (LOL), I have and will continue to recommend this product line to others. Most of my family and friends have all converted to Ola Plex, after seeing what it was doing for me. I hope the information I gave didn’t bore you too badly and actually helps you make a decision. (Please mark below, if you did find it helpful) To me, this stuff is a hair miracle in a bottle! It gave me my self esteem back, saving my hair. Worth its weight in gold!10/9/24 update; I had my husband measure my hair length past my shoulders. It is 8.5 inches past my shoulders as of today.

  12. Buy it today. My hair was a bit dry after recently bleaching it. I had tried a few things and they didn’t do much. Then I found Olapex. I read the reviews on multiple products and ended up getting the whole set, and I’m beyond glad I did. Those reviews weren’t wrong! I used everything today and wow! I read that some people mentioned how it took a few uses to notice a difference and some mentioned they noticed a difference after one use. I can confirm that I noticed a significant difference after one use. I am blown away by this product line!!

  13. Get it. I think this is the only review I’ve ever written. This stuff is a miracle worker. My hair was perfect. Soft, no damage, long and luscious. I rarely got it colored (like once a year partial highlight). Long story short, a new stylist messed up my color. So after multiple all-over color, full foils, I finally got back to my color. BUT, my hair was destroyed. I was heartbroken. I did not want to cut it all off. I was desperate and came across this. After one use, it’s soft, not dry and not tangled. Buy it! You won’t regret it.

  14. An absolute must-have for hair care. To make a very long story short, I did the dumb thing a few weeks ago and DIY bleached my hair platinum blonde. This isn’t the first time I’ve been platinum so was prepared to maintain it after, but I wasn’t prepared for the damage that DIYing would do to my hair! *nervous laugh*Washing and brushing through my hair was an absolute nightmare after two rounds of 20v bleach and a round of toning. My hair looked and felt like dry grass! Enter: Olaplex no. 3.My hair is 3-4 inches past my shoulders and I’ve been using about half a bottle on my hair for each treatment. I have treated my hair roughly twice a week since I bleached it about a month ago and my hair is silky and shiny again. Here are some tips I’ve learned from this DIY platinum fiasco plus many years of having my hair bleached by a pro who introduced me to Olaplex:-Don’t let treatment times scare you away! I’m a working mom with young kids and my skin is delightfully acne prone so I don’t have the time or the courage to let a treatment sit on my head for longer than 30 minutes. Even 10 minutes will have huge impact on restoring your hair.-Pre-wash your hair with a gentle clarifying shampoo before doing a treatment. This isn’t necessary if you’re not using any product in your hair after washes but don’t skip this step if you’re using dry shampoo or any other products intended to coat your strands. This bonding treatment works best when applied to clean hair that doesn’t have product buildup in the way.-Make sure you’re using the right products in tandem with the Olaplex. If you’re using a super harsh shampoo & conditioner after treating your hair you’ll risk negating the effects of the Olaplex or possibly do more damage. You don’t have to use the whole Olaplex line (it’s expensive!!). Search Amazon for bond-repairing shampoos and conditioners and check reviews to see what others are saying. I’m currently using Fanola No Yellow purple shampoo for toning and Verb Bonding Shampoo + Biolage Hydra Source Conditioner as my regular regimen. I have thick but fine wavy-ish hair.-I highly recommend adding Schwarzkopf’s Fiber Clinx Sealed ends to your heavily processed hair care regimen. This product will keep the bond repair work going in between treatments. Apply to your dried ends daily and you’ll feel the results!-If you’ll be using Olaplex no.3 regularly like me, consider purchasing the 8.5 oz bottle! As of now it’s not available on Amazon but you can purchase it at Sephora for $60. You’ll get more product and it will cost you less in the long run. Good luck!
