  1. Great value for a powerful laptop. This appears to be a very solid laptop. Somewhat unusual in that it has a fairly powerful processor, Intel i7 H-series, in a laptop of this price range. So far performance has been very good. Battery life of several hours at least. I have never taken it down to “zero”, but it seems like it should meet the Dell advertised number. No issues at all other than the dreadful Windows 11 that comes with most new computers these days.

  2. Decent business laptop, fast, has some quirks though. Pros: Fast, everything seems to work well as expected.Cons: Nitpicks1) Have to use the only USB-C/Thunderbolt port for powering the laptop and I use it 90% of the time plugged in. As there is a barrel power connection , I will be buying and adapter to use the barrel and free up the USB-C2) The prt sc, home and end keys are shared with F10,F11,F12. I prefer to use the F1-F12 for their functions (such as F5 that I use all the time for browser refresh) and have switched mine to use them as the other functions. However, if I do that , means prt sc, home, and end (which I also use a lot) , require the fn key in conjuction with those keys. Other laptops of the same size, did not do that.Edit 01/08/2023 Still works fine, no issues, OEM barrel power supply also works fine, freeing up that thunderbolt port

  3. Cheap computer. This is a cheap computer. Very plastic feeling. Screen is a little fuzzier than expected for anti-glare.The screen back and the rest of the chassis of the computer is very soft and prone to deep scratches with minimum pressure. Worse yet and the scratches can be very deep and white.Ports: only one USB-C awkwardly located close to the front on the (your) left. So if you get a 90 deg angle connector charger, the USB-A port next to it would be blocked.HDMI connector is unnecessary as the USB-C carries video fine. The color is very strange green looking.Performance: Windows 11 is abysmal, but that is not really the computer’s fault. It is as fast as expected for a real full power (mobile) i7.Battery performance is middling as expected from a powerful CPU.I would not recommend buying this system: is an awkward middle ground between a cheap computer with expensive hardware.

  4. Smooth keyboard, gorgeous screen. I don’t know but the speakers are cracking and that’s terrible. Dell please do something or can you recommend what action should I take? Please let me knowRest is good.

  5. Rendimiento. Mis primeras impresiones son que es una computadora de buen rendimiento… veremos si con el uso constante continua asi.

  6. Overall satisfaction after first month of use. There was quite a build up of available updates between the date the unit was built and the date purchased, leading to the machine being “overworked” when asked to process the large volume of updates. It was somewhat scary and my hope is there was no damage done that will not present until later in the product life cycle, primarily due to heat and battery drain produced while handling all of the initial updates.

  7. WAC. Awesome laptop. Faster & compact.

  8. Decent laptop. Upgraded from my old dell. This one is a beast of performance. Battery life is okay, average for a modern computer. I am using it mostly for programming. The heating issue isnt colossal as people were telling, it is if you are holding the laptop.A drawback, in my opinion is that there is an 8GB of RAM soldered.

Overall great quality, but. I’ve been a Dell user for years and I purchased this based on processor, memory, reviews and warranty. Although the laptop is working fine now, I started having problems with the screen going into fuzzy white mode without any apparent reason, forcing me to re-boot and sometimes losing my work. Enter Dell Warranty. After approximately 6 weeks, multiple phone calls and two visits by Dell technicians, we were finally able to fix the computer and get it running properly. This was all included in the price of the computer, for which I am truly grateful.

  10. Terrible experience buying a Dell product. The engineering of the laptop is pretty bad. It’s weirdly fragile, not simply because it’s a laptop but because of the industries obsession to make devices that we use physically small. Material requires bulk to have strength, which they’ve deliberately sacrificed. But in this product, they’ve made material composition choices to ensure that functions that could be robust simply fall apart at the slightest touch, such as the connector on the battery of this product.Besides that my Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 motherboard has gone bad twice under normal usage. It was during the warranty period. The first time it was replaced, and I was out of operation for over a week while that happened. The second time was also replaced, and on-site, which mitigated the fact that it died twice. The obsession with “thin” devices that have no intrinsic necessity to be as thin as some marketeer can imagine out of their mind led to this laptop having NO Ethernet, which might seem fine, at first, but eventually is inconvenient. It also only has 2x Type A USB ports, and only 1 Type C USB/Thunderbolt port.Such few ports is seriously inconvenient. While there are external hubs that can be used at added cost, those can be awkward for laptop use. Worse still is that charger that comes with the device is USB Type C/Thunderbolt, so that port is consumed by the charger. An external USB expander hub needs to have power delivery pass-through. That’s inconvenient for laptop use. The laptop HAS a separate dedicated power port, but rather than include a charger that utilizes they, Dell made the choice to leave it un-used and to consume your USC C/Thunderbolt port instead. You can reward their predatory choices and buy an actual power-port charger for extra expense. I don’t trust any of the off-brand chargers listed on Amazon, and Dell’s is very expensive. There’s no meaningful difference to Dell if they had included a thunderbolt charger or a power port charger, expect with these predatory practices, they’re more likely to have gotten you to buy TWO chargers from them, where as you otherwise probably wouldn’t have bought a Type C/Thunderbolt charger from them. The built-in MicroSD card reader has always had EXTREMELY poor performance, regardless of what brand or type of microsd card you use. It’s simply poor performing hardware, and no selection of a different microsd card can solve that. You can spend more money and buy a good microsd reader, but then notice how few USE ports this laptop has.Overall; don’t be mistreated by Dell. Instead find a brand that concerns themselves with what’s good for the customer. Don’t be beguiled by the razzle dazzle bling of this laptop.
